1. Turn of the sound, the speaker is huge and requires lots of current.2. Tighten (gently) the cover for the batter, if you tap of slam the unit just hard enough the battery will lose contact and give low batt screen.3. Put the creature to sleep every time you are done playing, this lets the battery pick its voltage back up (not capacity just voltage) for your next play.I used to get low batt screens after two weeks of NOT doing the above, but on the SAME STOCK battery im still going strong... my creature is 58 years old (59 days of active use). This is a nice product, fun cute and neat little game. instructions really tell you all the mechanics of the game, highly recommend understanding that.

Great little gadget toy, great fun, easy enough to use, pocket sized so easy to carry round, battery needs replacement 2 weeks after purchase but can’t complain and would say it is value for money

Save yourself the grief and buy a higher quality product. You get what you pay for. This gigapet (which was a Santa Clause gift for my daughter, so super disillusioning for her) worked for a day on the first batteries and then kept glitching and seeming to short out. I changed the batteries right away, but it registered low batteries again within another two days. We watched the pet glitch itself to death slowly in front of us, with it barking and asking for attention and care, but we couldn't do anything because whenever we hit buttons to care for it, it glitched or showed low batteries. We finally electronically euthanized it so my daughter wouldn't have to watch it die in a pile of it's own poo. it Very disappointed.

I ordered Flappy Frog. Was feeling nervous after reading about the battery issues but he’s been going strong for a week fresh out of the box. I love him! The animations are adorable, he’s easy to care for, just delightful all around.I went ahead and ordered the dog for my kid and it seems a little different. You have to push the buttons harder to interact with them and the battery died an hour after the tab was pulled. Going to reach out for a replacement. Will update.

I grew up u the 90's with Nano's. I bought this as a piece of nostalgia for my daughter and she is in love. She is on day 2 of using it and so far so good. I think it is worth the price.

My daughter had both a gigapet and a basic tamagotchi which for someReason I had to take care of. I definitely preferred the gigapet. I could easily see the screen and it didn’t make any annoying sounds In the middle of the night: (as long as you make sure that the time is correct cause it does do this knockingThing if it thinks you forgot about it which can be super annoying) but not nearlyAs annoying as the tamagotchi beeping all the time: the gigapet was pretty good though, it didn’t die if you forgot About it for a day but if you loose it inYour couch for a week it will turn into an angel but then easily can reset.

4 stars because my Nephew really enjoyed playing with it as soon as he opened it, its cute and is more interactive than they were in the early 2000's. My only gripe is the battery was flashing almost dead within 4 hours after opening it directly from the package. I had to buy more batteries to send to them.

Entertain the kids for about a week now. Did not die but the battery went dead in about 3-4 days.

The screen is scratched. The color of the 2nd button is scratched, color of the 4th button is peeled off. Quality is very bad!
