I purchased this for my son who has locs. He is in the weird stage of having hair that is in his face but not entirely long enough for a complete pony tail. He has very thick hair. I’ve trusted the goody brand to make quality hair products for awhile. These do not stretch and break easily. His is able to hoop in the band. It is not overly noticeable. Although it says womens. I would consider this as a unisex product given the width, overall basic nature and color. I have not tested these on straight hair to determine if there is breakage or hair loss when wearing. It is the same thickness as the regular hair bands used for pony tails.

I don’t just use these as a typical headband. I’m a black woman with 4c hair. I use these mostly to hold a large “puff” together on top of my head. I double the headband and push it further up towards the crown of my head. They have a decent grip and do not slip. They are durable and last some time but do he a little too stretched out, at which time I place another order. The cost is very fair for the product.

i don’t know why i thought these would come with the nonslip. however .. these are a total waste of money. they don’t sit on my head whatsoever. not what i wanted.

I received my order yesterday, and to my surprise I found three packs of these headwraps instead of the lone pack I had ordered! Great! Lol. They seem to be exactly as I had anticipated them to be; thin, black and very stretchy. I would say I will be back to buy more but seeing as I now have 18 of them at my disposal I think I'm set for quite a while!

These head bands arrived promptly. I confess I ordered them in the hopes I could cut the elastic down the middle to use in making cotton masks. Unfortunately the covering comes off the rubber band inside the headband which is too wide for a mask, but I may be able to cut the elastic rubber band and cover it. Very tough to find 1/4" elastic though I ordered some from Amazon a lot time ago.So will have to use them for hair. They're pretty comfortable if you give them a good initial stretch.
