I needed a replacement for an old damaged cable cutter and purchased these based on Greenlee's reputation for quality. Now, pliers of any kind are for the most part pretty simple, but they do need to be made properly in order to work well. These Greenlees don't disappoint. Whether cutting thick power cable, or LMR coax, the result is the same, a clean cut ready to prep for termination. I heartily recommend them.

Do these look like the same cable cutters as what they advertised in the picture?! Nope! Very very disappointed! If you advertise an item it better be accurate! How can you have an exact picture of what you are selling and not notice that it’s not an accurate picture of the product you are selling! Brutal! The reason I ordered these green handles cutters are because they are low profile and ergonomic, but what did I receive? These big large bulky double insulated black clunky cutters, as a tradesman, using them everyday, it makes a huge difference! Do Not Buy! Do Better Amazon.

Work as intended, edge stays sharp for a while. Use mostly for cutting DC cable am where from 6awg to 12. comfortable grip spite being basic.

Initially stiff but are becoming looser with use. Great quality and price. Cut through heavy cable like a hot knife through butter!

Haven't got to use them yet, but they feel great and solid and best of all, made in Japan! The Japanese make great tool steel and tools that will last a very long time!Update; I used them for several cuts of 4 gauge copper wire and a couple of 0 gauge (more than 0 gauge, actually over 5100 O.F.C strands) and I had to squeeze a little harder for the heavy wire but they sliced right through and left a better cut than what they came with from the manufacturer!! Impressive I'd say!! I love 'em!

I got tired of trying to cut through some of the thicker cables I use for my Ham Radio station and decided to break down and buy these. After using them now for some time, I really should have made this purchase long ago. These are great cutters, they are strong, sharp and it’s obvious they will last a lifetime. They make what used to be a tedious chore a simple act.As far as saving time, they do this by simply and quickly cutting my cables. They save me money because now my cables start off with very clean straight cuts and when I am working to attach the various adapters (which are also expensive) I have a great starting point and don’t have to worry about re-working the ends before making the attachments.5 stars, great tool, great price and if you need to cut any serious cables they are well worth the investment.

These are the best cable cutters I've used so far. They are very ergonomic. They seem to have higher leverage, better cutting capability, and feel better in my hands than the Kleins that I've used. The only downside in my opinion is that they're not made in USA, but Klein doesn't make everything they sell in the US anymore, so they've lost my loyalty. For now on I'm buying what works best based on the product's performance. I'm not sacrificing usability anymore just because the manufacturer used to be the top dog.The best price I've found was right here. In supply houses these cutters were $50. Buy a few tools or other things at once to save on shipping.They arrived brand new in the package just as I expected.I couldn't be happier with my purchase.

This was the right tool for the right job; cutting battery cable for my car stereo. The action is buttery and snug. The handle, metal, and edge make cutting heavy cable a breeze. Greenlee makes a quality product. Delivery was very speedy.
