Not total garbage, but very cheap, seems like it could break easily. When you turn it on, it just barks not stop: yap-yap-yap-yap-yap-yap-yap-yap etc More like a (loud) screechy wind shield wiper. My 5 year old gets a kick out of it tho. But had I actually seen it first, I would not have bought it.

The dog clicked loudly and slowly broke down before one set of batteries. This didn't last 60 days and unfortunately I can't return it as you only have 30 days. Avoid buying this it you value your money.

I intentionally put batteries into both puppies (I bought the set of two) to test their performance, as many reviews had stated that the puppies didn't operate correctly. Both puppies walked (on tile and on carpet) however, neither one landed on its feet after flipping - not once! This means that you must always pick it up and set it right again, before you can continue to play with it. I had one of these with my son, years ago...and he absolutely loved it because it kept going: barking, walking, sitting and flipping onto its feet, to continue again. These do nothing of the sort, despite turning the adjustment in the tail. I intend to see if a replacement will solve this issue, but I am doubtful since BOTH puppies were unable to flip and land properly. Will update if I get different results.UPDATE: the replacements needed adjusting (by turning the thing inside the tail, which isn’t easy to do, plus you have to try turning both clockwise & counter clockwise to figure out what it needs, to flip correctly and land on its feet), and after many attempts, we got the puppies to land on a fairly consistent basis (on a rug). When the gift was opened on Christmas, the damn dog wouldn’t land on its feet properly! I would have to say that this just isn’t a good buy....our 3-year old granddaughter didn’t think much of this present, beyond thinking it was funny...for a whole 2 minutes.

Arrived on time and well packaged. A cute toy, although try as I might to adjust the setting, as directed in the instructions, could not get it to flip. It was only able to make a half flip and land on its face each time. That said, it was a hit with the little ones, but the barking is high pitched and constant - so you may wish to consider a less noisy version.

Barely passable toy. Dog wouldn't flip over on wood flooring. Had to be on the table to work properly.
