The listing promoted these clear acrylic cubes as more of a desk item for holding pens, pencils or things like makeup brushes. When I saw them, however, I was thinking BBQ and holding utensils and cutlery. If you are using plastic or bamboo cutlery, you can put knives, spoons and forks each in a cube and use the last one for straws. If you are using metal cutlery, I recommend putting some heavy glass marbles in the bottom to keep the cubes weighted so they won’t tip over.The cubes can be on the serving table with the plates and napkins. They are easy to wash and hold a good number of utensils.The cubes can also be used for holiday gatherings for the same cutlery or can hold wrapped candies on the table. Being clear, they don’t clash with any holiday décor.Truly, these acrylic cubes can be used just about anywhere for just about anything. They would also look great in a bathroom on the counter holding toothbrushes and toothpaste, creams and lotions. They’d work great on a desk for small office items like pens, pencils, scissors, USB keys, erasers and the like. I could see them as catchalls on dressers. Or, on a sidetable in the living room holding candies and mints or even flameless flicking candles.They’d also work well for accessories for toys. I’m thinking Barbie’s shoes and other items that are small and don’t necessarily have containers. Even as props for tossing pingpong or Nerf balls in games. The longer I think about it, the more ideas on how to use them I come up with.
