5 yrs.ago I bought my 1st. BIG Outdoor set, wanted this time something a little different. This is a nice looking set but boy it's small compared to my 1st. One. it looks ok on the deck but not sure how long it will last.they say it's for outdoors. I believe they really mean a covered pourch..this is a wait and see game

I have been looking for a new outdoor furniture set for awhile now. I wanted wood but also like rattan and wanted a set that could hold more than 250lbs. so I didn’t have to be concerned about friends or family sitting on any of the pieces ( each piece is suppose to support 350lbs). This set comes with both materials! The acacia wood is a nice,rich medium brown tone, not pale.I have never purchased anything that had not had a review before so I was very nervous about buying this, but I liked the look so much I took a chance and I am VERY glad I did!It just arrived yesterday and I assembled it just now. Everything arrived in great shape, packed well. It arrived in two boxes with separate FedEx numbers.I didn’t time how long it took to assemble but I just put on some relaxing music and got to it. It was so easy and I’m a 67 year old female, but I am a miss fix-it. Definitely follow the directions to at first only partly screw in the screws for the piece you are working on to make sure all holes align and then tighten them. I did not have even one misalignment and they supplied one extra screw in each size. All 5 pieces came together so smoothly. It is very sturdy and well made and there wasn’t one flaw in any of the pieces.They are not over sized, definitely smaller than my living room furniture, but easy to get in and out of. The back comes up to my shoulder blades and I’m 5’9 and the seat is not too narrow. I always like putting my feet up and the ottomans are at the perfect height - level with the chair. The arm rests are at the right height for me. I wouldn’t sleep in it (lol) because there is no head support but I can envision myself sitting there all afternoon enjoying a good book and visiting.The cushions are about 2 3/4 “ thick, ( I was thinking I needed thicker for comfort) but the foam and cotton inside is very dense, supportive and comfortable.I am not a light weight individual and I felt like the padding was just right. Not sure if they will expand a little after being out the pkg and box. The color is more of a soft buttercream than white/oatmeal as the photo seems to show, but it is very nice against the rich, deep brown rattan. I thought the rattan was black by the photo, but the description says mixed brown. It’s looks elegant.My only con: The cushions are more of a satiny fabric, a bit slippery. I think I will put some Velcro underneath to make them adhere better. I will also probably put a towel or blanket on one set just because I know my dog will enjoy laying on it while I sit, in order to keep it clean longer. Her paws are not always the cleanest. 😉😂Living in the PNW has its fair share of rain and I have trees around my property, so I also purchased the cover for the set so I don’t have to worry about the pine needles, sap, and rain when not in use. I will also apply some outdoor UV Scotchguard to help them last longer. They seem like they would wipe clean easily.I am very happy with my purchase.
