I used this tool to install a roof rack on my 1986 camry. I don't recommend drilling into the roof of YOUR car, but I did it to mine, and it worked great! Good snug fit with no slip at all. I drove 20 miles with a canoe up there, and all rivet nuts held strong.

The tool works well. However, parts of a mandrel were loose in the case and needed to be put together. Also, the package of M6 rivets was missing.

I just finished using this tool to install rivet nuts in my work van to hold shelving. It worked flawlessly. The tool itself is well made out of seemingly quality materials. The mandrels are marked with the sizes on clear polypro cases for quick identification. Everything comes in a case and fits snugly. The instructions were clear (I do love me some Chinglish though; I got a chuckle out of making holes with a pistol.)The sample packs of inserts weren't enough to finish my project so I ordered more, but that's not the fault of the tool in any way.Now I need to find another project to do with this tool.

TLDR : Great build quality, nice complete case, easy to use, needs lots of strength for big rivnutSo the case is nice, comes with a lots of sizes and all the adapters to use them.the tool itself is well made, looks of good quality.Now it is easy to use but you have to get used to the strenght to put a rive nut in. It does not have anyway to stop to tell you you are done, so, try some in some scrapes before. m3 rivenuts does not require the same force as the 3/8....... yeah you can easily rip the thread of the m3 if you go at it the same way of the 3/8.now the 3/8 require a lot of force, not saying its unmanageable, but bigger rivnuts would be concerning. id the job i bought it to do, about 125 5/16 rivenuts and it perform the task admirably. some 3/8 and some 10-24 too.overall great but it could have a mechanical/physical stop so you dont throw some rinut out of their holes!

I used it to bolt on a skid plate to the frame of my truck. The tool works amazingly! I'm not surprised that after a month this tool is #1 in the Riveters category.It came in a cool case, every mandrel came in its own small case too. Everything is tidy and compact. Before that I ordered another riveter (RZX) - it was flimsy, with no case. I ended up returning it.Hardell is the best choice for the money, love it!

Like another reviewer, I bought these for the sole purpose of installing running boards on my Toyota Highlander. I found them very easy to use even for a first time rivet nutter. The tool is made of heavy material, and there's plenty of leverage which made compressing the arms effortless. However, the tool is quite bulky and heavy, which made it pretty difficult to work in tight spots. The amount it compresses the nut is adjustable, that was something I had to learn as the first few I did weren't as tight as they should, but fortunately still worked out. Now that I have the tool and lots of nuts, I look forward to finding other uses for them for other projects.
