My Guinea pigs have not been able to remove this manger from the side of their house (they have done so with a couple of other ones). It is sturdy and easy for them to use. However, I’d appreciate it a wee bit more if the lowest portion was pushed out from the side of the housing a little bit, or if there was a small, solid piece at the bottom that stretched across the full width of the manger to help prevent hay from coming out the bottom and slipping down between the bedding and the side of their housing.

Works great for a messy chin! She likes to sort through the hay on offer. The solid back on the outside wall of the cage helps keep hay INSIDE while she selects the perfect piece to munch!

Chew-proof, easy to fill, semi-easy to hook to the enclosure.It does everything I expect from a hay feeder for voracious chinchillas. The only feature that is missing that I would have loved is some kind of lid. Both to keep the hay IN and the chins OUT. As it is now, they have a habit of climbing into the feeder to eat the hay.A process they don't always do gracefully, or cleanly.Otherwise, it's an excellent product.

Purchased based on reviews that this keeps guinea pigs out of hay trays. But apparent it is either my piggies are too smart or I am doing something wrong somewhere. Hay does not retain in the trays and piggies made a mess of the floor. They still jumped in and chill inside while making more mess. I saw myself having to clean more often than usual and replenish the hay more than often as well. Bad buy. Can't say for others though.

Really high quality materials, strong, sturdy, and definitely chew proof for my two bunnies. Holds the perfect amount of hay for a full day (sometimes needs a little touch up at night if they’ve been busy) and stays attached to the cage. I just wish there was a way for the hook angle to be adjusted so that it was easier to attach to cages with smaller wire holes. I had to struggle with it when first installing it and warp some of the holes a bit to push it through and now I can’t easily take it off (which is good knowing the bunnies can’t either).
