Works, but doesn't handle freezing temps, probably because of the larger surface area. I'd try using this under an enclosure where the elements can't hit the water directly. Probably get a better result.

The floater stopped working and it burned and cracked the bottom of the bowl. Wish I could return.

We used this for our chickens. It works beautifully until the temperatures drop below 30 degrees, then the water freezes.Easy to assemble and use.

No good for winter. Water freezes where it enters the bowl. Very disappointing. I do not recommend this item.

I have to go out twice a day and remove ice so it can fill with water! Ridiculous!!!

This is the best auto water bowl I've had so far. It's on the small size but with it auto filling it doesn't really matter much.
