measured about 0,15 mm difference from flat to centre comparing the four flats. Of course this is noticeable on your work.

Bought a few different hhip tools. They seem to be accurate and well made

These are a good value and quality is right up there, only one issue the body should be as big as the nut so as to mount in the vise on side and keep inside jaws. which cannot be done on these w/ out padding the sides w/ stock

Collets snapped into and out of collet holder easily. I use the tool on mill for orienting collet held work surfaces 90 or 180 degrees from the 0 degree face by simply loosening the vice and rotating the square portion of the tool. I made a brass valve for a black powder flask which required placement of varying diameter holes at 90 degrees to each other, this tool saved me a lot of time to correctly orient the cylindrical brass rod. Using V blocks and this tool the work could also be rotated in 45 degree increments. Previously I used a rotary table positioned perpendicular to the mill spindle to get an accurate 45, 90 or 180 degree rotation.

This is a well-machined and accurate piece of tooling at a very reasonable price. It arrived on the very day that I needed to make a chuck key, and was so much more convenient to use than having to set up the rotary table. I had to fiddle with the exact dimensions of the piece due to some variation in the socket holes of the chuck (!), but the block made checking the fit and replacing the fixture precisely back into the vise a breeze— couldn't have done that with a rotary table. I've just ordered the hex block as well. I've been consistently pleased with tooling from H&H.
