Normally I know better than to buy $20 “precision tools”, but I wanted a cheap way to test to see these attachments would be useful. I won’t even attempt to attach these and measure to within a tenth of an inch, let alone thousandth… completely plastic, poorly made, won’t even stay together when I pull them out of the packaging.I knew they wouldn’t be worth using long term, but they aren’t even worth trying once.

The tips easily dislodge from the pads on the micrometer. Pretty much worthless. I would have sent the kit back but I missed the return window.

This review is for the "standard" not made-in-USA version. The metal parts are very poorly made with significant run out when attached to the micrometer anvil. In one case, the wedge, the face that butts up against the micrometer anvil was clearly badly out-of-true to the naked eye. This made the piece so out of alignment it just slipped off to the side when trying to get a zero or make a measurement. The thinner pin was bent giving a point contact off to one side. This set is less than 1/3 of the made-in-USA version but not worth the money.

I tried on all my micrometers, and the sleeves will not hold the tips in place. The ball tip is the one I needed to use, and it just falls out and bounces across the floor when trying to measure anything.I'm not going to ruin my expensive micrometers by gluing the tips on.For $25 (what I paid) I expected them to at least work. A huge disappointment, and waste of time.
