My main advice is to splurge the extra and get the one you can fine tune with a computer. But I got to try the other one, which has really confusing instructions and just as confusing digital display. However, this is a really well-built rack-mount unit, that for the most part is intuitive for hooking up and using as an EQ. I am using it on a PA that already has Bluetooth, but I did test the function, which worked as expected. Mostly I am using this to fine tune and EQ the PA though, which only had a limited 3-band. This truly did balance out the sound much better for both performed and recorded music prior to the amplifier.I would suggest it because of the build quality and price point, because it would stand up to road use for a performing musician or DJ. However, I would only suggest it to someone who has used EQs before. I believe the next line up with computer controls would be the better choice though. For anyone needing good instructions, and the light-up display to make sense for how the EQ is dialed, I'd move on though.

A 31 band graphic EQ with an onboard Bluetooth receiver is a clever combination. This unit also has a low frequency (Sub) output (XLR) with selectable frequency and level, if you are running a separate subwoofer channel. It has an onboard RTA (RealTime Analyzer) to let you know which frequency is peaking, AND there is more. There is a USB port, if you want to use a memory stick full of mp3 tracks, and controls to navigate the tracks. And finally, there are 10 memory location so you can store and recall different EQ settings, as well as a bypass option. As you can imagine, the key to being able to access all these features is to spend enough time with it to master the interface. With all the features buried in this device, you have to expect that it might not feel intuitive until you’ve done it a few times. If you are already comfortable with multiple function combo knob/buttons, this unit won’t be hard to learn. It’s in a rack mountable 1u steel chassis. The front panel LEDs are bright, quite visible in bright lighting. Input and Output connector options are XLR/1/4”/RCA, for left and right channels. If you see a reference to “synchronize” it means that whatever boost or cut you apply, will be applied to both left and right channel the same. It does NOT combine the L/R. It is true stereo circuitry. Use the button/knobs to enter the programming mode, turn the knob to select which frequency band you want to cut/boost, then make the adjustment up or down (as indicated by the LEDs) with the other knob then save the change to the EQ profile of your choice. It’s that simple. I tested it with frequency sweep signals, and with a 1K tone generator. The only thing that actually concerned me is that the documentation states that it is wired to receive 220VAC, and to use 110VAC requires modification (no advise on how to modify). However in the box was a 120V USA style cord, and when connected it worked just fine. There is no documentation however on the certifying agency such as UL or any other nationally recognized testing laboratory anywhere either in the manual or on the equalizer, so it is not recommended to leave it operating unattended in case of fire.

So far, this has worked well for me. The cabinet is well made. It took me a little while to get used to how this works and to get all of my adjustments set. This has a lot more refinement than I am used to, so there was a learning curve. The sub out only being xlr I find to be a little odd because every other out has the option of rca or xlr. So I had to buy a cable to make my sub match up. Besides that hiccup, I'm satisfied with the sound control and the ability to have multiple presets so I can quickly change for the type of music I am listening to. For me, it has been a good value because it's doing exactly what I wanted.
