The system comes with multiple parts from individual units. The instructions tend to contradict each other depending on the application being converted. The instructionsWe’re not clear that the spark igniter is also the millivolt feedback in place of a flame rod.The pilot assembly required modifications and drilling to make the parts to position correctly. I assume it works easier depending on the original manufacturer. The system works great once installed and aligned. Not a project for an amateur to do.You must buy a 24 vac transformer to power the unit assuming you fireplace was only flame driven.

Purchased Sept 9, 2021. Installed on September 27, 2021. No heat on February 15, 2022. Can't find company contact info to ask for a replacement

We have an ancient (1960's) attic mounted home heating furnace with "always on" pilot that doubles our homes gas bill when it is lit, even when is not heating the house, and at 65+ years old, climbing into the attic is something I don't like to do more than absolutely necessary.I bought this "Honeywell Y8610U-6006/U Universal Retrofit Spark Ignition Conversion Kit" with the hope than my "climbing days" would be over. Well, the install is beyond my skills with wiring and all, so I tried to find someone here in So. Calif. that could do it for me. No luck finding an installer that could do the job.So I sent it back. Lesson learned. I still need to climb into the attic to light the furnace. Next time I will find an installer that knows what I'm talking about before I purchase anything to do the job.

Great way to make a standing pilot furnace safer and more reliable. No more worrying if the pilot goes out. Installation required a little hardware rework to fit my furnace, but after 3 months, all is still good. Great product if your furnace is hard to reach and you don't want to be bothered with re-lighting the pilot.
