After experiencing the brake buddy indicating a low battery twice on a four hour trip, replaced the four year old battery then added the device as a backup, seems to work as advertised, no problems after several seven hour trips.

This was an easy install, but the red wire was too short to reach the Blue Ox tow plate. Why not just make it with adequate length of wire for most applications. Now I have to splice a foot of wire to the red wire.
