Beautiful paper, good size and great for gelli plate monoprinting and relief printmaking like linocuts or woodcut. The paper absorbs the ink well and you can see all the details. Highly recommended

Works incredibly well on gelli plate. Just remember to allow lots of time to dry before lifting.

I can't say enough about how much I love this paper. Perfect for lino cut, or wood block prints. It just feels so nice, two different textures, one side is a little rough, the other is smooth. Can't wait to use it again.

I use my gelatin plates daily, and this rice paper is my absolute favorite. It's a little thicker than another brand I also use, and I like that this has slightly more weight to it. It's still a very thin and lightweight paper, but it's not translucent like some other rice papers. Due to this I can use this particular rice paper as both a standalone monoprint, or cut/tear it and use for collage. It has a smooth side and rough side. I use the smooth side, and it picks up the paint incredibly well. I often use masks or stencils with intricate details and this rice paper can easily get into all those tiny nooks and crannies. When I'm using it by itself I can add layer after layer of paint without worrying that it will tear or buckle. Sometimes I create my layers through multiple pulls, while other times I'll create the layers on my plate and pull them all off at once. This paper can handle both techniques well. There have been times when I built multiple layers on my plate and then left the rice paper on my plate overnight. Even after being there for 6-8 hours it still lifts beautifully without tearing. When I do use it for collage it cuts easily without tearing. I use either my Gingher 5" scissors, or my Fiskars 18mm snapoff blade utility knife. I'm able to cut small areas easily without worrying it'll rip (I always make sure I'm working with a sharp blade which is why I like the snap off blades). Out of all the paper I use this is the one I reach for most often. If you're looking for a rice paper that will become translucent when using for collage and adding matte, gloss, or satin medium I would suggest a thinner rice paper. While this one may not appear like it's almost melting into the background like a thinner one would it still collages seamlessly. I use it as a piece on its own, or cut it down and adhere to a blank card, or as collage elements. The price is also great too (in my opinion). I would say it's very similar in weight and feel to the Art Alternatives rice paper (which I also like), but at about half the cost.

I bought this rice paper to use with my gel plate. I was creating backgrounds for future prints or collage paper. This paper is durable and very absorbent. There is a smooth side (which absorbs acrylic paint beautifully) and a bit rougher side. I definitely love this paper.

This paper is great for Linocut Printmaking. I've tried both sides of the paper and I recommend printing on the smooth side, it gives crisp even prints when using oil based ink. Its beautiful paper.

If you are looking for a nice paper for geli plate printing or stamping, you might just love this one. It is just absorbent enough in my opinion. It does have some lines in it and slight texture but that just adds to it. It just picks up the pigments so nicely. I use a variety of inks/acrylic paints (also fabric paints) and they all work fantastic! I am new to printmaking and have been trying out recommended papers and I think this was one of them. Only 4 stars because of the high cost. If I could find a cheaper supply, that would be awesome. This was the 50 count pad. I am thinking the 100 might be different (not as white), so may try it down the road, but for now, this is what I need.
