Premium Huawei quality!Again, there is no company that beats them for mobile/portable/wearable tech, for the Free Clips as well. The feel is solid, comfy, no invasive, and perfect for good, full sound without compromise!

I've been buying Earphones and Buds for the last 8 years. These are hands down the best earbuds! Instant connection. Always remembers the last connection. Super comfortable, forget they are in. Great long lasting charge. Sounds just as good as Bose. Never buy Bose! Bose connection is the worst ever. They are a crap product for how expensive they are.

Great pair of earbuds to use while exercising, does not move around while I run which is great. My ears get fatigued after awhile, so having open earbuds that don't go into your my ear canal really helps. And since it is an open ear design, you will still hear other noises (no ANC) unless you really put the volume up. I think the sound quality is still pretty good, but I tend to raise the volume when I want to hear a heavier bass. Calls with these buds are awesome, they pick up my voice pretty well. Comfort wise, these feel good. It does take awhile for you to get used to the feeling, but when the placement is just right, you can't really feel the earbuds. I thought my glasses would get in the way of the earbuds, but it doesn't. Some issues I have with the clip on design is that when I tuck my hair behind my ears, I'll accidentally touch the earbuds and it'll move or come off. I can't wear toques or hats that cover my ears, because it'll press against the buds making it feel uncomfortable. And I've sometimes I could feel the buds move upward when I put on my jacket. Just make sure nothing really rubs against or touches the buds. Other than that, it shouldn't really move at all even if you were to shake your head. Also, since they are exactly the same, you could place the buds in either slot in the case or on either ear! Overall, pretty interesting looking earbuds that don't give me ear fatigue, quite comfortable to wear for long periods, has no ANC but sound quality and microphone is great. And love how it looks like an ear cuff.

Comfortable, but the price is higher, the mic voice some time not very good.

I hate closed ear buds, but the sound level on these were very low, not comfortable for small ears. I returned them and got another open ear that is comfortable, adjustable and has a good sound level. Not sure if I should mention the new pair, Anker Soundcore Aerofit 2.

These are the best open earbuds out there. They sound amazing no matter what I'm listening to. The battery life is great, I can wear these all day without needing to charge them. They don't interfere with my glasses or earrings. They're SO comfortable. Sometimes I leave the house and don't realize I'm still wearing my freeclips till hours later. The bluetooth is excellent. I don't lose my connection even if I'm at the opposite end of the house from my phone. The Cherry on top is I get compliments all the time because everyone thinks they look really fashionable. There is an app to manage the freeclips, it's called AI life. It's NOT necessary, but it does let you tweak a handful of features. Because I live in America I had to use a VPN to download the AI Life app. To my knowledge this is only a problem in the US. To do this I used a browser called Opera, Opera offered a 7 day free VPN trial. Once the AI Life app is downloaded the VPN is no longer needed. I canceled the VPN trial right after I got the AI Life app installed and it works perfectly fine.I love these earbuds. If I lost them, I'd buy another pair in a heartbeat.

IntroI recently started exploring open-ear earbuds and tried different styles, ranging from hook-style ones like the Shokz Openfit, Soundcore V30i, JBL Soundgear Sense, and 1More S50, to clip-on styles like the Soundcore C30i and these FreeClip earbuds. I found the clip-on style much more comfortable. Currently, there aren't many options on the market for this style, with the Soundcore C30i, Bose Ultra Open, and FreeClip earbuds standing out. After testing them, I believe the FreeClip are the best in this category due to their comfort, sound quality, microphone performance, and overall build. Below, I'll dive deeper into these categories, focusing mainly on comparisons with the Soundcore C30i, which I also own. I didn’t purchase the Bose Ultra Open due to their high price and reports of bugs in other reviews.ComfortTo start, I prefer clip-on style earbuds because they are less bulky than hook-style earbuds. The FreeClip are much lighter than the C30i, making them easy to forget you're wearing them. Additionally, they are far more flexible than the C30i, which have a smaller opening that pinches my helix (the outer 'rim' of the ear) and becomes uncomfortable after 30 minutes. The FreeClip earbuds are easier to put on since they are more flexible and don't pinch as much as the C30i. They can definitely be worn all day, which is convenient given their 8-hour battery life. I opted for the newly released beige color, which has a matte finish instead of the glossy finish found on the other colors. This not only prevents fingerprint marks but also makes them look less like earrings.SoundGenerally, open-ear earbuds don’t produce the best sound since they don’t create a seal around or in your ears like traditional headphones or in-ear earbuds. This limits sub-bass response, but the open design creates an immersive soundstage, making it feel as if the music is enveloping you. Compared to the C30i, the FreeClip offer much clearer sound. The C30i, while much cheaper, sound veiled and hollow, as if you're hearing music through a wall. While neither of these earbuds are intended for critical listening, their open design is ideal for adding a soundtrack to your daily activities. However, I wouldn’t recommend wearing these in an airplane or a loud gym, as you’d need to crank up the volume to dangerous levels to drown out background noise. The best use cases for these earbuds are office spaces or busy streets, where staying aware of your surroundings is important while enjoying music. I prefer the 'Elevate' EQ as it adds a bit more mid-bass to the sound. When I push the volume past 90%, the bass is reduced, probably to avoid distortion, but I don’t recommend going that high anyway as it gets incredibly loud. I usually listen at around 40% volume in a quiet room and 70-80% on a busy street. Anything higher would mask external noises, which defeats the purpose of staying aware of your surroundings.MicrophoneBefore purchasing, I watched plenty of YouTube reviews on these, and they all praised the microphone quality - and they were right! Huawei has been knocking it out of the park with the recording quality on their recent releases. They use three mics on each bud along with some clever algorithms to isolate your voice. The clarity is impressive. I could easily see these being used as office earbuds.App and ExtrasThe app can be found on the iOS app store and offers a few settings such as different EQ presets (though no custom EQ is available), gesture customization, adding experimental features like volume control (which isn't the easiest to trigger) and Find My Earphones (by playing a sound in either of them). The app doesn’t require you to create an account, which is appreciated. In terms of extra features, these earbuds have wear detection, which pauses and resumes audio when taking them off and putting them back on. Another great feature is that both earbuds are interchangeable and will self-adapt the audio channels between left and right. I can place them in either slot in the case, and when I take them out, I don’t have to check which earbud goes in which ear - super convenient!PriceAt more than 2.5x the price of the C30i, I expected them to be better, and they do deliver. However, I understand that these are extremely expensive if you're buying them based solely on sound quality, which is what most people prioritize when shopping for earbuds. This is why I’m knocking a star off my review. That said, if this type of product suits your needs - whether it's comfort, microphone quality, or open-ear design - I recommend splurging on the FreeClip. I’m excited to see future releases in this category of products.

so far so good overall. No major complaints. Have tried the alternative clipping ones like the Bose and those have had some issues. But these no problems with connectivity or the mic. Will update if anything changes.

I bought these so I can wear them at work without attracting too much notice. They’re pretty well hidden in my hair and otherwise look like an earring. I love that I can clearly hear my surroundings, and that’s very important at work. It’s comfortable enough that I forget it’s there aside from the fact that audio is playing. It’s also very secure, no worry that it will fall off at all. These wouldn’t be my choice for public transportation (unless you wouldn’t use noise cancellation anyway) or on an airplane since they don’t have any noise cancellation. In noisy environments the volume does need to be turned up in order to hear the audio well. The audio is very good overall and it won’t be heard from others unless the environment is relatively quiet and the volume is up past 70%.Phone calls have been absolutely fine as well from both ends.Love that the ear pieces are interchangeable as I usually wear one at a time and swap them halfway through the work day (constant audio playing I’d say about 5-6 hours from each bud before it needs to go back in the case to charge). I prefer to have in the left ear versus the right so I can still answer the work phone, so the interchangeable pieces are clutch for that.If you can’t deal with the earbuds that plug into the ear, these are a great option.
