Buckwheat is a treasure to many. Matures in 12 weeks, it would be a bee plant, a cover crop or a grain, depending on how you grow it. In North America, it is usually grown as a cover crop to improve soil. Buckwheat performs in a variety of weather conditions but does not tolerate frost. Sow ½ inch deep. Sow rate: 40-55 lbs per acre or 1 lb per 1000 square feet.
