This pepper has a unique flavor: a combination of a kick of heat and a fruity sweetness. In terms of growth, it is productive and ideal for containers.|| The seeds are open-pollinated, which means the offspring produced from such seeds display the same characteristics as the parent plants. It means you can save those seeds for the next planting.

That picture is from last year's crop.i only use hundredfold seeds.annual untreated open pollinated seeds.they germinate very well.i have this year's crop going already.last year I harvested 4 large zip lock bags everyday right up till autumn.they do not like the cold.2 japanese restaurants say they are the best shoshitos they have ever seen.i have to agree with them.2 ways I like to prepare them.. in the airfryer or tempura.if you are looking to grow shoshito peppers I suggest you use hundredfold.service is amazing.delivery was very quick.this year I was gifted some of their dill seed.i can't wait to plant it..you'll never regret using these magical seeds...

The shishito pepper seeds showed up sooner than expected. Almost every single seed sprouted and are growing nicely so far. Well over 20 seeds came in the package and arrived in good shape. Really looking forward to tasting them this summer.

Seeds germinated well in hydro unit. I have 5 of the same kind in one tank side by side with varying progress. 4 out of 5 are flowering. The 5th though was started much later and may end up stunted due to the spread of the other leaves causing it to not get enough light. I may remove later if it doesn’t improve and only keep the 4 tall ones with flowers. Still, good germination rate using hydro unit in winter and I’m not limited to waiting for Spring/Summer. Peppers are possible indoors all year round now :)March 8, 2022 - Fruit and flowers updateApril 9, 2022 - I am getting a mix of sizes in the peppers, some turning red so soon before it can reach it’s optimum size. I think it might be because it is growing so much fruit. I’m not sure if it’s the “nutes” I give them or if it’s just too many fruits being produced at the same time. If I had pinched a few of the flowers, perhaps more nutrients will have gone to better sized produce. Something I’ll need to try later for comparison.April 12, 2022 - I still haven’t harvested peppers. So many are turning red before they grow bigger my pepper plant is looking like a Christmas tree with all the red peppers. Maybe next time I’ll pinch some buds if there are too much flowers to see if it makes a difference in getting bigger peppers instead of numerous ones that are smaller.April 17 - photo using real sunlight beaming from kitchen window
