Our skeg mounted hydrofoil for outboard engines improves boat performance and provides propeller protection from underwater impacts.
Hydro-Shield’s lift enables a faster time to plane (400-1200 RPM less). Improved handling provides a softer ride and reduced porpoising, plus enhanced helm control for tighter turns. Hydro-Shield also improves fuel economy up to 8% at mid range RPM settings.
The propeller, skeg and lower unit gearing are protected from underwater impacts at low and moderate speeds, reducing damage and costly repairs. The hydrofoil prevents entanglement from crab and lobster pots and weeds.
This shielding also protects marine life such as manatees and sea turtles from death and injury due to propeller strikes, and reduces destruction of marine grasses.
Made from a thermoplastic compound that absorbs impacts by deflecting without transferring 100% of the energy to the skeg, plus a marine grade bracket system that provides added skeg protection.

Pretty amazing product. Way better than a standard hydrofoil on top of the ventilation plate.Boat now pops onto the plane without needing to trip right in. When on the plan and trimmed out for economic cruising to the point of porpoising, it olds steady. Prior to fitting, proposing needed to be managed.

I have a 2024 tidewater 2110 Baymax with a Yamaha 150 and had a heck of a time maneuvering it at low rpm. Docking and trailering was a real pain. I have the newer hydraulic steering and hated it! Not as responsive as a cable and you have to spin it like a top to get a reaction. My boat has a flatter bottom since it’s a bay boat (10 inch draft) so it’s just slow to react. I saw this advertised as quicker on plain and better handling so I gave it a shot and I can’t believe how it changed my boat. It steers better, comes on plane better and I can’t believe the difference. Kinda went from riding on ice with slicks to snow tires with chains. The boat rides a bit higher than before at any RPM giving a smoother ride. Great product.

Easy to install. Had a partially damaged skeg sonthis solved that and protected my new prop from any damage

This is a brilliant item. I have communicated with the CEO a few times. It was cheaper buying it on Amazon than him donating it to our Veterans With PTSD, Suicide Prevention, 43ft steel hulled sailing Sloop self-funded restoration.Thank you Amazon.
