This model of the HYS TC-617-1N listen only earphone is designed for law enforcement officers, firemen, EMTs ,Sports, Fairground and other professionals who wear their radio with a microphone on their shoulder or clipped to their shirt. If your mic has a 2.5mm jack, this earphone will click into it, providing you with the ability to securely hear broadcasts without everyone else in the area over hearing. This is great when you are in a Fairground and do not want to bother other player but even better when you are making an arrest and do not want the suspect or others to hear every broadcast. The HYS TC-617-1N listen only earpiece is the comfortable and secure way to privately listen to your radio. The Clear HYS TC-617-1N Earphone is formed from high grade surgical tubing, which is attached to a high output speaker that connects discreetly below the shirt collar. The HYS TC-617-1N comes complete with left and right medium fitted rubber ear-molds. This is designed to fit Motorola, Kenwood, Icom, Vertex, Ritron and Maxon radios and mics.

This product seemed like a really good quality product. The only issue was that it didn't work with my radios. Trying to find a headset that works with Walmart FRS radios is almost impossible.

No Real Issues, good ProductPersonally, I don't use the clip, the hard connector at neck I break off and file down to smooth (moves with my head/neck better when in "physical Confrontations"/stays in place in my ear)

It’s fit perfect for my application at work. It allowed me to hear what was coming over the radio will a lot of background noise. Had multiple in the pack so if some got damage due to work hazards I had plenty to use. It was a great price and product I recommend.

If you actually use surveillance earpieces, you realize they are consumable items. Motorola does not, and charges accordingly. I took a gamble, worst that can happen is I gift them to someone else. Nope, now I have dedicated earpieces on my various ballistic vests now. They work just fine, sonically are acceptable, volume (with appropriate device - if the device isn't very loud, these don't amplify) is acceptable, and construction is ok. They aren't milspec or aerospace grade, but for the price, they are PERFECT! Buy in bulk, and toss the (eventually) broken cable.

I have only used this product for one day on the job, but I am impressed so far. This isn't high-end quality, but it is a good value. Even if it breaks in a few months, it shipped with two so I'll have a spare ready to go. I'll buy again.
