As a parent, you want digital security without internet connectivity for an added layer of protection against hackers that may be able to access your camera over the internet. Operating on 2nd-generation FHSS frequency in a closed-loop system that does NOT utilizes your home WiFi, only YOU can see and hear your baby. The DXR-8 PRO features cutting edge features such as Active Noise Reduction (ANR), a high definition display, and interchangeable lenses. ANR is an option that can be toggled on or off to filter any background noise such as fans, air conditioners, humidifiers, and air purifiers, that are commonly heard on baby monitors as 'static noise'. When it comes to video clarity, the monitor features a 5" ultra-clear LCD display at 720P resolution with enhanced night vision. The three-step digital zoom can be operated with the optical zoom lens (included) so that you can zoom in to see your baby sleeping in 6x zoom without causing the pixelation and blurring seen on other monitors. All functions are controlled on our next-generation user interface. Dedicated volume and brightness controls on the top of the monitor unit. Brightness of the LED lights (power and LED sound bar) can be dimmed so it won't shine your room bright at night. Standard features such as two-way talk back, sleep mode, night vision included. Monitor wakes instantly from sleep mode with a press of any button. Pair with portable battery pack (sold separately) for up to 24 hours battery life. Comes with manufacturer's 1 year warranty, extendable to 2 years for free upon registration. Note: predecessor model DXR-8 camera units are NOT compatible with the DXR-8 PRO.

I was putting off getting this monitor but I'm so glad I did. Yes the price is expensive but it works. The quality of the screen is superior and battery life is awesome. The best monitor and love its non wifi!

We have purchased (2) DXR-8 PRO and couldn't be more satisfied! Reliable camera, monitor provides clear picture, great sound, and works a strong distance away from the actual placement of the camera. Super easy to set up and use!Beyond that, we did have to contact customer support to assist us with a couple (minor) questions and each person has been friendly and beyond helpful. Specifically, Zeil who provided the upmost customer service and went beyond the required need to help us! In the rare chance anything comes up with your unit, I'm certain you'll get immediate and resolved help!

Great overall. Appreciate the 2 options for lenses. As other reviews have stated, the battery life isn’t the best but, that’s not really the end of the world.Only small frustration is the temperature is so far off all of the time. It shows it’s about 3 degrees (or more) hotter than the actual temperature at all times.

This is the third baby monitor I tried (so I have ones to compare it to), and this one is perfect! Literally no “cons”. Picture is clear and strong, sound is great. Battery lasts long. The range is far enough to reach our whole house and even across the street.

Overall this monitor is just okay. At the price point and with other reviews I expected better from the range.The range on this thing is no where near what it claims. I understand that there will be interference in a house, but less than 75-100 feet away (through a few walls) this thing loses signal constantly. Image will lag because of poor signal or will just start doing the alerts that theres no connection. There is absolutely 0 chance this thing would ever get near 1000ft, maybe in a clear field with no interference.The image was good, PTZ functions were great and the night time image was clear. The ANR worked well to elimate sound machine noises. The immediate image on booting up was nice as well.While this thing had many great features, the range was the biggest killer for me.

I have the Nanit Pro with my first born. Was alright - picture quality could get choppy from time to time, could be due to Wi-Fi. Super irritated that it stopped working in the worst time and the tech support always pointing the blame to my wifi when other devices connected to Wi-Fi are working just fine. Had such a hard time finding a camera that didn’t require internet, good quality image, night vision and also as the option to mount directly onto the crib (additional accessory purchased). I have a portable mini crib for my second born. The furthest zoom setting is still pretty close, but I’m sure if I had this camera mounted on a standard crib it could probably be far enough. In any event, was a bit close. Love the option for the additional zoom lens, just wish they had one more lens option so i could use it on my mini crib. Camera rotates well. Night vision is great too. And it doesn’t make that clicking noise like my Nanit does when switching from night to day vision. Sometimes the Nanit clicks would wake my son. The dxr-8 pro is quite pricey but for peace of mind with my newborn I was done shopping and settled. It works - I like and would recommend this camera if anyone was looking for one that did not require Wi-Fi. Another thing I wish was that it had an internal battery in the actual camera in case of power outage. If there’s no power connection the camera would disconnect with the monitor. The condo I live in has routine power outages for maintenance, I neglected to read into that before purchasing.Overall I like and if I needed to would buy again.

We have been using it only a few weeks and it suddenly stopped working. When we bought it we could read that the warranty was 1 year but now they say that for baby items it is only 30 days. Such a waste of money!!!
