I picked this up when I was pregnant and kept it put back until the right time but we ended up pulling it out early. The baby is too young for it but my two year old loves it. He loves stacking the blocks and the animals. The only thing that I don't love is how easily the blocks come apart, which frustrates my two year old. Definitely a product that I think he and the baby will be able to play with together once the baby is old enough.

I have been trying to figure out what to get my niece who is at the tail end of the baby stage but still too young for walking toys. These are perfect as they fit in her hand easily and the grooves and edges help her keep it in her grip. They are a soft slightly rubbery texture with no sharp edges to get caught on or fall on. The entire thing comes in a great clear molded acrylic package which lets you really see how cute it is all stacked up. Overall I am really happy with it. It is exactly the type of thing I could see growing with her as well.

Build qualityThese blocks are well made and feel great. They are the perfect level of soft yet slightly firm.UseThese blocks offer so many levels of play. From just looking at the color and shape of them, to holding them , to being able to pull apart and put together, to being able to identify colors and animals and finally counting. These can be used for so much and they are great safe toys for all ages. We just love using them in the play area.Snap togetherThe blocks snap together well. Each block has a hole in the bottom and a plug on top. Each disc does as well (except largest disk which has a "rocker" bottom.) The snap is a good level of resistance and retention for kids to easily put together or pull apart.CountingIn addition to just block counting, each block has a number and an image with that number of objects in it.Other shapesThe blocks also feature shapes and patterns like waves, triangles, squares, hexagons , hearts, moons etc. that are great for teachingFinal thoughtsThese are great blocks that we highly recommend. They are safe and offer so many activities.

These are so cute!. there are lots of textures for tactile exploration with both hands and mouth. They are soft and easy to chew and there is nothing that can break off to cause choking. It is great to have safe toys around that I don't have to worry about needing constant and consistent monitoring. I have a dozen children and I adore my grandchildren who are always visiting. Because there are so many grandchildren (and so many more on the way!) having extremely safe but also stimulating toys to put in the pack-n-play or on the blanket with the baby is a life saver! I never have to worry about any of them getting hurt or sores in the mouth when I am using these, but at the same time, there is enough visual/tactile input it often keeps a happy baby entertained for a few minutes after they wake up. Sometimes just back to the basic, non-computerized, childrens toys are exactly what is called for and I love these!
