It says it's stainless steel, so I assume it's safe to shower with it . I only reviewed it today, so can't speak for that just yet.But the chain is really nice, perfect thickness and length for me. The letter T is hanging beautifully. Straight, not crooked/tilted.Update:A few days and a few showers in, the silver colour of the chain and pendant holds still. Looks good.

The chain and pendant combo is really cute. I love that it is not a very yellow gold. It can most definitely pass for a solid gold chain. The length is also perfect, clasped on the last hook of the extension piece it reaches me right on the neck on that spot between my collar bone. I have showered with it a few times now and have not seen any visible changes to the colour yet. Fingers crossed it remains cute for at least a bit longer. Very stylish and personal.

The chain is a different colour than the pendant, so you might want to get a different chain if you want the two to match. The chain is quite short (as indicated in the product description), and the clasp works well. The pendant has not tarnished after short contact with water.
