my dynamic mic wasn't loud enough and required a preamp. Louder this to give me a little boost. It works just fine

Great little device. Easily a clean +12dB of input gain with no noise introduced. I keep it with my TB mic and may pick up a few more for off-stage announcement and talkback mics!

Bought an Fduce sl40 as a begginer xlr mic just for gaming not content creation as I wanted to impress my friends with the quality of my mic. I bought the vocaster one for the audio interface and just had a hunch I'd need an inline Amp to be actually heard in discord and games without having the crank the gain on the vocaster all the way to 100, which this handy little device allowed me to avoid doing. Gain on the vocaster is set to around 50-60% with a filter on to make my voice even more crisp and radio caster sounding. Overall very happy I purchased this budget friendly inline mic Amp. Would recommend for people who also want to actually be heard on their new xlr mix for discord, calls and gaming.

Perfect. I have it with my shure mv7 (which is very gain hungry), and the gain dial went from 9 to 3, which makes my audio sound more crisp. Would've given it a 6/5 if that was an option. If you're on the fence, just pull the trigger. Very worth.

I bought 2 units to use with my Mackie system. They both boosted the volume but it was just like singing through a guitar player's distortion pedal. Both units had extreme noise. The noise automatically went away when I put both units pack in the packaging and sent them back for a refund, which currently, I am still waiting for. I thought these would be a cheap way out, but when you purchase cheap junk, you get what you pay for. No stars at all for this product from me... a total disappointment and a waste of time. It wouldn't let me post with zero stars, so you'll have to imagine that one is gone, just like I had to imagine a nice clean volume boost that didn't exist. ZERO stars.

gives my røde procasters gain stage that boost to bring it to mic level to be heard.participants in conference meetings always tell me that i sound as if i were in a professional radio station booth, and im convinced i'm getting enough clean gain to the mic to provide that warmth to the sound of my voice.much less expensive than the competition and the gain is still 100% pristine. what's good is that it doesn't pass thru phantom power from your interface to the dynamic mic, so you can rest easy that you won't cause undue interference to your microphone.be wary, the way these devices work is that they need phantom power from your interface, and they plug into dynamic mics which don't play nice w phantom power, so that's what i mean when i say they don't pass thru; they take the interface which applies the phantom power, but then is given to the manayo (mic activator/preamp) which passes thru gain without sending phantom power to the mic itself.there are a lot of butting heads about if phantom power damages dynamic mics, but i just act like they do, so im not going to test it.

Update*The manufacturer reached out and replaced the product at no extra cost and was quick with shipping and I have waited a while to post this update and I’m glad to say everything has worked great and I’d now recommend this product based on my experience with it and it’s quick to help manufacture team.Old review *All the sudden after using this device for a bit it’s just started to cause buzzing. Removed it from my setup and all is fine. Very odd. Was a 5/5 if it still worked.

It is great for adding some dB to your signal. I plugged it into my Scarlett Solo USB to use with my dynamic microphones. Before buying this, I had to crank the gain pretty much all the way up, and anyone with a Scarlett interface knows you get a lot of distortion if you have the knob around 90% and above. Now I can leave the gain knob at 50% or lower and still have as much dB on my dynamic mics as I get on my cheap condenser. Recommended if you are looking to add some dB on the hardware side, rather than the software, which is nice for recording, but particularly beneficial for use with voice-chat, in scenarios where you don't have access to a digital gain adjustment.

Eyeballing my output levels in Adobe Audition, I've gained around 20 dB of signal to noise ratio. This thing's like a Cloudlifter without needing a mortgage to pay for it. I can't say exactly how it compares to the "real thing" but I no longer need to add a ton of noisy amplification through my mixer, I can get all the signal I need directly from my microphone. As you can see, it does add about 3 inches to the back of my microphone, but if I had a less EM-polluted environment I could put it somewhere else and avoid that problem.

To put some perspective on my review...I am a new podcaster and currently, I used a Shure SM58 beta with a lynx xlr cable connected to the Behringer U-Phoria UMC204HD digital interface. This digital interface had to be turned up to near %80 gain to get the mic to where I wanted it, but of course with noise and that is of course is not a good thing. So what is a poor guy to do? Well, start looking for an inline preamp...Of course, I checked out the Cloud lifter which sells for approximately $150 cdn, the dynamite preamp which sells for approximately $134.00 cdn and the Fethead which sells for $100 at the time of the review. While researching the three above units in question, I stumbled across the Manayo DM3 on Amazon. It is clearly a clone of the SE Electronics Dynamite stick as I discovered after searching for more information on it. I was skeptical at first but after reading the reviews here and watching YT videos, I thought it was worth it and as a prime member, I could return it if I did not like it!Upon receiving my Manayo preamp, I plugged it into the 204 DI and the first thing I noticed was I had to have my gain on the Digital Interface turned all the way down and it was still too loud.If this happens to you, don't worry...........that is why you have the PAD button on the interface! To attenuate (reduce) the db. Once I hit the PAD button, I got the perfect amount of db going through my midas preamps in the 204. I get crisp and noise free sound at 30 to 40 db on the digital interface! If you are on the fence about the Manayo DMC 3, don't be, it's worth every penny and at least half the cost of those other guys, its SO WORTH IT! I bought it when it was 20% off on Amazon which was $39.66 cdn (regular price was $49.58 cdn).SAY YOUR MONEY AND GET THIS..........................NO REGRETS!!

Cumple con lo que promete. Aproximadamente 26db más. Sonido limpio. Estoy satisfecho. Aunque por alguna razón mi caja venía sin el papel de especificaciones e instrucciones, pero no importa. El producto funciona.Puedes conectarlo directo al micrófono o si prefieres a la interfaz, no olvides activar el 48V Phantom Power.

I got this to pair with a cheap sm57 knock-off. The two work together like magic. Perfect price point to make your inexpensive cardioid sound like a semi decent condenser. Gives you a clean boost without too much noise. Make sure you have an interface with phantom power.

Cumple su función. Lo utilizo con un micrófono Shure SM7B y preamplificó la señal de entrada sin problemas. No puedo comentar si la calidad es la mejor, ya que no he utilizado otro preamplificador de otra marca más cara, pero funciona bien.
