About this item

  • Built for maximum durability and long life with impact drivers
  • Doubleloktechnology ensures both ends of bit lock securely
  • Precision tip geometry delivers superior fitment, reducing stripping and cam-out
  • Power groove designed for compatibility with IRWIN impact performance series magnetic screw-hold attachment
  • Manufactured with heavy-duty, cold-forged, high-grade steel to withstand high torque output

Most double-ended screwdriving bits require a bit holder for use with impact tools, but IRWIN impact performance series double-ended power bits feature DoubleLok technology so both ends of the bit lock securely into impact drivers and quick-change chucks. In fact, they're engineered for maximum durability and long life with impact tools. These bits combine two bit tips in a durable one-piece design for added convenience and extended life, and each end of the bit has a 1/4-Inch quick-change shank that fits directly into an impact driver, a feature only available with IRWIN bits. The bits are designed with precision tip geometry so they fit fasteners more precisely, which reduces stripping and cam-out. They'Re manufactured with heavy-duty, cold-forged, high-grade steel to withstand high torque output, and a black oxide finish that resists corrosion and increases the life of the bit. Plus, they also have a unique power groove design for use with the exclusive IRWIN magnetic collar attachment, which prevents fasteners from slipping and wobbling.

Used mini screws so far it’s holding up. Enjoy the multi insert of both Phillips and Robinson reversible screw drive bit.wish it was much cheaper than $20 per bit quite expensive but you get what you pay for and it works well

Used to be my absolute favorite bit for trimming out a panel. Now there was a design change in the past year, and the new ones are terrible. If they don't switch back to the old style which are much stronger and don't bend under impact gun use, I'll switch brands.

Used this bit for the last year and it’s still I great condition, drive several thousand screws and it still grips tightly. Very pleased with the product but I can’t seem to find availability anymore on Amazon Canada at a reasonable price. I paid around $8 last year and it’s now on for $55. I’ll buy more when they become available again at sensible prices.

Saves time so I like that but the bits could be better steel. I gave a 4 cause I really love just flipping the bit over and having a phillips. I can't understand why everything just isn't Robertson. Seriously US just get over the fact that the Canadian style is better.

These things are amazing! No more climbing down from the latter to grab a philips head bit, just one and done kinda bit, I’ll never buy a single headed bit ever again. I’m a plumber and I’ve been using the same 2 bits I bought over 2 years now and from 4” framing screws, Drywall and tapcons and it’s still sharp and puts a screw in every time! You’re more likely to lose it then break it . I use these in my Dewalt 20V impact and both my Milwaukee M12 impact guns and I’ve had no issues with the locking mechanism or using extensions bits.

I am and electrician and use Milwaukee M12 ScrewDriver a lot, bought two of these for quick switch between PH2 and SQ2. Turned out to be that it fits in every other compact tool but the one mentioned above. Locking tip is a bit longer and won't allow chuck to be locked with this tool in from either sides.

Works great in both my Milwaukee M12 and M18 Fuel impact drivers. The shorter ones work just as well. Also no issues in my Rigid Gen5x 18v impact.

The chances of these bits working in you quick connect 1/4" chuck are hit and miss. I have an older (couple years) Milwaukee M12 driver that hold the shorter version perfectly, so I ordered the 4" version. They didn't work at all. So I went to Home Depot and tried them on different brands (Rigid, DeWalt, Makita). Some worked, some didn't. In fact, one unit only 1 end of a particular bit worked. The shorter version that works in my M12 driver didn't work in the newer M12 driver (non Fuel, they didn't have the Fuel model to test it on) Was really disappointed because I fell in love with the shorter (1870988) version.
