The toy was enjoyable to play with, although it was initially quite stiff but eventually broke in.It is constructed from an unknown metal alloy. The plating will exhibit significant wear and tear relatively quickly.The magnets are affixed with glue rather than being press-fitted, and they will detach fairly quickly, rendering the toy unusable unless they are reattached.I have owned this toy for only a month and have not kept it in my pocket. It has been primarily used on the coffee table while watching television.Given its current price point, I would not recommend purchasing this toy.

This little fidget toy is very addictive to play with. It takes a little bit of practice to get used to the way it slips, but then once you get it, it's very easy to slide it open then allow the magnets to snap it shut. You can also pull the two halves apart completely and allow them to snap back together. The magnets are quite strong, but not so strong that you could pinch a finger between the halves.One thing to be aware of is that this is metal on metal, so the sound it makes when snapping shut is quite loud. Loud enough that I was mindlessly fiddling with it in a different room and my wife came in to take it away from me because it was distracting her while she was trying to work. If that doesn't bother you, and you like fidget toys, I expect you'll be happy with this.

loosens up the more you use it but it is quite tight and hard to slide still. time will tell, hopefully it gets smoother. also wish there was some design element on the inside so it looked a bit nicer than just the grooves.

I think this edc poker card fidget toy is pretty nice. It has a pretty satisfying click (not out of the box, but I’ll get to that), and I think it’s made very well. It’s just like the original, and has just as many magnets. I think it’s very similar, and I would say it’s pretty hard to notice the difference between this one and the original.There’s two things I think you should be aware of. The first thing, is that this is a copy of a much more expensive version, called the “Lautie EDC Shuffle”. I would say that this is a decent clone, but if you’re someone who doesn’t feel good about buying copies, I wouldn’t buy this one (granted, the original is very expensive).The other thing I would say is that these need some time to break in. When it first arrived, it felt very sharp. As in, it was very difficult to move with one hand. Eventually I did get it to an easy, and good feeling click, but out of the box it’s way too stiff (I actually ended up dropping down the stairs, and it made it feel a lot better).Overall, I would recommend it, as long as you’re okay with the cons above. I would say at $15, it’s a great little fidget toy if you’re into them. It feels well made, and looks very similar to the original. I guess the only real difference, is that this version has a very thick layer of epoxy over the metal.

So, right away, I've become totally addicted to this thing. I almost always have it in my hand (unless it's otherwise engaged, of course).I took a star off because the screw constantly wiggles loose and the action isn't as smooth as I expected it would be. If you're pressing it from the side, it moves and clicks and all that just fine; but if you're pressing down and sliding (like in the pictures on the ad), it takes quite a bit of force to move. Not immovable by any means, but definitely too much of a distraction. I personally just took the screw out and trust the magnets to hold the thing together, but if you don't want to do that, a drop of blue Loctite should do the trick

I’ve been trying to find some small hand stimming items in an effort to not bite my fingers, shake my leg, etc.. I didn’t want something obnoxiously loud or colorful, something a bit smaller and quieter so it’s not disruptive for others or loud enough that over-stims my audio. I saw this and thought “eh, what the heck, I’ll try it”. It was delivered about ten minutes ago give or take, and I opened it right away. It was packaged neatly, and when I took it out I immediately tried to flip it, assuming it would be loose like a fidget spinner. I was mistaken.It’s incredibly stiff to move because of the magnets on the inside. Maybe with wear it’ll loosen up, but these magnets make it louder than loud. Sorta like a Pop-It. It can loosen on the hinge a bit to be a little more maneuverable—until the magnets meet again. -_- They pinched my fingers pretty good.I don’t know if I’d recommend this or even use it? I might leave it in my drawer or something. It hurts the thumb joint to push it as well.
