We've been using this product with our clarinet and have been thoroughly impressed - it's stable and performing beyond our expectations. Easy to install, kids can do by themself.

Just received this and can barely put it on the clarinet due to rust.

No complaints, it fits well. Looks nice. Tightens nicely. I got this to replace one that is over 30 years old.

I got this product fory child to use on his clarinet. It fit like it should and works great at holding the mouthpiece on. My child was very happy with it!

I teach band and am always looking for reasonably priced instrument accessories for students. This one caught my attention because it has the unique black coloring and is similarly priced to similar quality beginner student ligatures.Upon first installing, the metal had to stretch and shape to the mouthpiece a bit, which happens with these thinner ligatures sometimes. Once I put my reed on and tightened the screws, the ligature had to do some extra flexing to fit my reed and mouthpiece well (which is just a standard Yamaha 4C mouthpiece and a Vandoren strength 3 traditional reed). As I tightened the screw, I noticed the center area between the pins began to bulge outward some (like a small mountain), which to me says that the metal doesn’t like the tension with my reed. I have posted a photo with a yellow circle so you can see what I mean. I am a little bit leery about longevity of the screw with the correct amount of tension needed to hold my reed in place. When tightening the screws, I could feel the screws binding some. I am hoping that the screws themselves hold up to the tension needed to keep the reed on. Pin quality is important as those are typically the first to break with students (rendering the ligature useless unless you can find the exact right pin to replace it with!). Once secured, the ligature allowed me to play properly.I also noticed the black coloring was already coming off the screws (but understand that there is a lot of friction there as you screw and unscrew it), but the black coloring on the outside looks quite nice. I can update you on any issues with the coloring or pin longevity as I use it!
