First, I don't ever leave reviews, no matter how good or bad the product is. Secondly, I've never had luck planting seed. I didn't feel like buying 1200 square feet of sod, so I gave this product a try. Within the first week, seed started to germinate. Within in two weeks, excellent growth was happening. By week 5, almost all 1200 square feet we filled in. Deep green and lush lawn. the one thing I did, was new top soil and law fertilizer. Combine all three, and you will get excellent results.

I have plans to till up a couple areas and start over with new seed. I tried a few smaller areas during the summer just to see how it would go. The seed germinates well and gets growing pretty quickly as long as it is kept watered frequently.The patches I tried all did pretty good, although I should have seeded them a bit more than I did. Just be aware that being a blend of grasses some of them will be different shades of green and grow at a different pace. I am now considering possibly going to a single seed type for my bigger areas.

I've never had grass seed grow as well as this brand. I had tried a few of the Scott's and none compare to it. Every seed has grown (though they will grow at different rates across 2 weeks or so). I highly recommend this seed.

Amazing success! I live in Phoenix and planted this grass in the middle of summer because I was too impatient to wait for the fall. I honestly didn't expect such great results, not because I didn't think the seeds were any good, but because of the heat here and me being impatient and planting the seeds in the middle of summer lol. But I am actually having great success growing this grass here! I don't have a seed spreader and just spread the seeds by hand, so there are some bare spots, but there are still seeds germinating so I will have a full, thick, green lawn in another couple of weeks for sure! I am not able to upload the before picture, but I can assure you the whole yard was dirt before, with just a couple of sparse patches of grass The first picture was taken yesterday, the second was this morning after I trimmed the grass with the weed eater. Some spots the grass was super long where there was already the few patches of grass before so it needed trimmed up and evened out. This is only two weeks in and like I said, the entire yard before was basically all dirt.
