These are pretty and work like a regular pencil - nothing else to say about that. But why are they coated in plastic? Makes it almost impossible to sharpen, so I took the plastic off one as a test and felt like I was going to rip off the eraser at the metal base. The pattern so far has not rubbed off where I removed the plastic, so I'm not sure the point. It's not plastic wrapped like for a new product, it's connected under the eraser base like it's supposed to be a coating. But anyway, I'm happy to have pretty pencils, and will remove the plastic for the rest.
