The natural sand is part of the mold, not sprayed on and helps to keep nails filed smooth while being both comfortable and durable. My budgies don't really perch on it. But they do love to chew on it like on a mineral block, which is honestly concerning because of how toxic it smells.I like how it can clip to the top of the cage.

My birds love it, I had to get 2 as they love to sleep on it and would fight over who got to sleep on it so I got another one now they are happy no more fighting over it.

I bought this for creating a playtop area for my parrots cage. A little bit tall for my conure to step up onto, but with another Perch close by, he could step on it.I love that I could use it anywhere because it's so easy to fasten on...top of cage..side of cage..inside, outside..etc.Easy to clean.Remember to provide a variety of perches for your birds feet including soft rope perches.Would buy it again!

My bird loves this. She is a lovebird, and very picky about anything you try to put in her cage. Spoiled maybe?

It has a rough surface, good for sanding nails. ,My birds spend a lot of time on this perch staring into the mirror. There are many ways you can use it on interior or exterior of cage for small parrots. I have 2 and my 7 budgies love them1 year later still withstanding the milage
