Finally found the time to use this and was super excited because I’m refinishing a set of teak furniture…At first it worked great but then it just stopped and air is coming out but no action.. tried shaking it because I have a feeling it’s the cylinder that’s not working…So works great when it works but didn’t work for long unfortunately

My project (well, FIRST use...) is a 1976 Alfa Romeo Spider - with lots of curves and grooves. This sander is ideal for those "blood grooves" down the length of the sides, and the headlight tunnels. You can pick from a wide variety of curves amongst the blocks, slap it on the power head and add your appropriate weight of paper (all hook and loop attached). Roll sand paper with hook-and-loop backing works great.Operation is fairly low air usage, and "just right" when adjusted for speed (air flow knob).Price seems fair.

Previously submitted one star review due to difficulty getting the device to run. Seems to need to be shaken so piston inside is setting just right before it will oscillate, otherwise, just sat there hissing, and no amount of pushing/pulling on pad would coax into motion. Finally discovered it needed to be shaken a bit each time I picked it up to use it.Left message with seller a few weeks ago. No response. Suddenly, today, I'm told a new one is being sent as a replacement, and I could simply send old one back in same box. Will see how replacement runs and report back.Must address - another reviewer had problems with velcro. Not sure why - there is one style of it to adhere specially shaped pads to the sander, and another on the face of the profile pad for sticking sandpaper to. I had no problem with either one. When it runs, it does do a good job of sanding cross-grain wide - belt sander pattern on doors and face frames. (no trim profiles yet) Seems a little faster than random orbit, which I still use for a quick, final sanding prior to finishing.

This is a great little tool to have if you sand anything with contours! I haven’t had it long but have already used it a lot! I repair boats and the lines in them can get pretty busted up rebuilding them takes time and this tool saves time! Well worth it!

This is a good tool. I had 39 hardwood cabinet doors with bead profiles to sand and refinish. This straight line profile sander was a hand saver. The tool is quiet. Vibration and noise level is significantly less than my electric sanders. My only question is why didn't I have one of these years ago. If there was a source for the tool only without the profile set, I'd likely buy a couple more. The velcro pad holding works so well that the pads can be a little tough to change. Not a complaint but I'd rather have multiple tools already set up. This was one of those great purchases.
