This product will perform better if you place it in a sunny area with full sunlight. As the charging effect depends on sunlight, the charging time is affected by weather, season, and location but is normally 6-8 hours. Extreme cold also significantly affects battery capacity.Please do not install the cap light near a strong light source at night, at least 2 meters (6ft) away.For first-time use, we recommend charging the product for 24 hours in direct sunlight without removing the isolation tab to ensure the battery reaches its maximum capacity.

Honestly I’m surprised how well they work even in negative weather and we got lots of snow they still charged through the snow on the panels

Lights go off after 5-6 hours. Not sure if it's the solar cells or the batteries that are the problem. Really like the down angle of the light.

These post lights are amazing with the down lights in a warm white. Perfect for stairs or other areas that require lighting for safety reasons. They provide ample lighting where you need it. I've had no issues with the installation or their operation. The only issues I have are that at 3.7" they are a little too large for a standard 3.5" post. I ordered standard 3.5" post caps without lighting and they fit perfectly. On a stairway these will hang over the post but I installed them so that the extra would hang over the outside of the posts so they don't interfere with the stairs or railing. The other issue is the price. I bought two and I find that the price is excessive for what you get.Overall, these lights provide awesome lighting for safety reasons and I recommend them for that reason.I will update my review over time if I have any issues.

These solar lights look and function well. They don’t hold a charge all night but usually come on at dark and stay lite well into the night. They are solar so they aren’t charging when the sun doesn’t come out.

I absolutely love these things! They add the perfect amount of warmth to my front steps and I love that they are low profile. I ordered a couple other ones and they sat way too high for my railing so they got in the way. My porch lights are motion sensor so having these solar lights on at night is great. I have had a couple times where only one would be working, I just go out and hit it on the top and it comes right on. So the connection must not be great on one, but I’m still very happy with them.

Installed these out front in the fence. The lights worked great for 2 months. After that they would not last an hour past dark. I purchased all new batteries and replaced all of them. The same condition repeated. Batteries will snot keep the bulbs illuminated more then 2 hours past dark. Some won’t even last that long.
