Four stars. This underdesk keyboard holds my standard sized keyboard well. See attached photo.Installation was straightforward and I recommend making four pilot drill holes on the underside of the desk so that screwing in the four support brackets will be easier. Just make sure every angle is square to ensure that the keyboard will slide smoothly. And it is smooth. The keyboard tray is plastic and you will be using metal screws in plastic so do not over tighten. Also, because the tray is plastic I do not recommend you lean your weight into it or it will probaby fracture where the metal screws attach to the plastic.I like this product and I like that the Kensington company has been around a long time.

Like the fact that my larger Microsoft wireless keyboard fits right inside this tray. Tricky to install under a desk, must have a second pair of hands, and a screwhole template to drill starter holes in the precise locations under said desk while working on your back. The screws were also a touch too long for the thickness of my desk, so a thin block of wood was needed in between the rail and the desk bottom so the screw tip wouldn't poke through, or, barring that, shorter screws that still have enough bite into the wood to hold.Need patience and maybe a little hack knowledge to install. Now that it's installed, works great ... but don't EVER lean on it, or place something heavy on it (why would you anyway?).

I'm a big fan of keyboard trays. For my current desk, I only had a 22 inch space to install the tray. When this tray arrived, I realized that - using the standard installation - it would not fit. But I was able to modify the installation in order to make it work (see photos to get an idea). If works great, and I have no issues with it at all.Just note that if you want to place a full-size keyboard and mouse on your tray, then this product is not suitable for that.

Oops, I did it again! I went for inexpensive and this is what I got. Cheap plastic molded shelf and instructions with annoying pictograms. A template would make this so much easier to pre-locate the screw holes but I guess that would reduce Kensington's profit margin. I installed it, don't like it, and will likely take it off in the near future and send it to landfill. Do I recommend you buy this thing...yah, NO.

Looking for a CHEAP keyboard tray? Well, this is ... "cheap"."Sturdy" or "stable" are not words that jump off the tongue when describing this. It's functional, it will do the job, but it's... flimsy. And cheapAlso, I've installed a number of these types of things over the years under numerous desks. They usually either have a template on the back of the instructions, or some measurements, or are rigid enough when assembled that you can easily make a template yourself to make the installation easier. This has no template, no measurements and it's flimsy enough that laying it upside down on a large piece of cardboard to make a template was clumsy, at best. But, hey; it's cheap, right?

decent design, hardware is flimsy, and the brackets need to be labeled left and right side because they are different...they fit either side, but they really need to have the longer sliding action forward. Otherwise, decent.

This keyboard tray is great. Good value, seems sturdy enough. It was VERY TRICKY to install. But I did manage to do it by myself in only one hour of frustration. The first half hour I wasted on perfectly straight measurements which got me a crooked keyboard tray that wouldn’t even pull out as a drawer. My second attempt (which seemed really crooked to me) worked out perfect. Here’s how I did it: Installation will go fine for you if you do three things: rip up the box and make yourself a template of where the screw holes should be, tape the drawer mechanism closed (temporarily) so there’s less movement when you install, and use an electric drill to pre-drill the holes (using the template) underneath your desk. You will be happy with your keyboard tray in the end. Good luck!
