these are really tough they would not fit my blower as my blades are curved but i installed them on my inlaws blower and they work really well, check your impellers if they have the slight curve at the end these will not work

This kit is as described on the site. It was easy to install after trimming to fit.We haven't had any snow since it was installed.

1 of three of the main pieces were missing leaving me unable to install. That said, this kit is also impossible to install on my recent model Ariens Compact 24 because the sides of the impeller are curved and there is no way to drill the impeller through the chute opening due to space restrictions. I would have to remove the impeller from the snowblower. Too much work unless you need to change the impeller bearing anyway.

My particular application on an older Sears 32”snowblower. Fit right in with a little trimming with a cut disc. Bolts weren’t quite long enough because of two layers of metal instead of one but that was’t the kits fault. Drilling was the hardest part of the whole thing. I split it and vicegripped one side of the large pulley to keep the assy from moving. Good opportunity to put a HD Kevlar auger drive belt in and get rid of the OEM rubber on too. Be careful not to tighten the bolts too much as the rubber will bulge out if too tight.Waiting for snow now!

The rubber pads are thick and heavy, made to last. Unfortunately, one of the three pads was 1/8 thinner which would've thrown my impeller out of balance. I've returned it.

Because these are universal impeller kits, there's a little bit of tweaking to do. I've not been able to use it in winter time as of yet due to having no snow, but when installing them on my impeller they seem to have installed quite securely to the wall of the shoot. I will have to give an update review of them once the snow falls to see how well they work

My home is on a court. The court has a mountain of snow by the city plow in the center. The snow is often melting and flows toward the driveways to the runoff curb which is sometimes plugged by the furrow of snow plow .. Canadian winter reality is wet snow to slush that has to be cleared or risk it refreezing as a horrible bump or ridge. This kit is good. The supplied rubber is thick and robust .. my neighbour made his own kit from rubber he had and it worked until the rubber broke off. This seems to be able stand up being a quarter inch thick. I have an 8hp 24inch model. The rubber and metal support had to be cut down from 5 holes wide to 3 holes wide. To fit as my impeller has a hockey stick type curve to it. It is time consuming.. maybe 2 hours to modify and install. The snow chute has to be removed and the impeller braced with 2x4s as to not rotate as you drill the mounting holes in the impeller thru the snow chute hole of the second stage. Its only October and it hasn't snowed yet but considering how my neighbours homemade kit worked until it broke taking away that wet heavy from the end of the drive, this beefier kit should be very good. Basically it keeps blowing the wet heavy because the wet heavy doesn't get the chance to build up in the drum of the second stage .. it spatulas the snow from that drum and keeps it moving thru the chute. Common sense dictates that you don't stop in the wet at the end of the drive because it will set in the mechanism ... but if you keep moving at least until regular snow is entering the auger again you will be impressed. Beats unclogging over and over again or worse finishing the heavy snow at the end of the drive with a shovel. Good luck. I think it is worth the effort. Greatly improves the performance in wet situations.
