I got tired of having to find a caliper to measure sheet metal and then convert to gauge. This is a good one step solution to that problem. I've tried them on several different thickness sheets and the gauge was correct every time.

I am using it for hydroban liquid waterproof membrane installation. It allows to confirm the thickness of the application. If you clean it up after each use they can be used multiple times. Cheap and efficient tool.

This is a good gauge. Compared this one to the other ones in my paint shop, it is pretty accurate. This gauge is made from aluminum so it should last quite a while.
