As a band teacher, I try to provide proper maintenance supplies for all our school instruments, but the music store swabs are expensive and don't tend to last. I end up purchasing a lot of these out of my own pocket, so I'm always willing to save a few bucks if the quality seems decent. So far these seem to be working well--they do the job of the daily swabbing out, haven't gotten stuck like the flannel ones sometimes do, and the price is very decent. I'll try to report back in a couple months on the durability as the students use them more.

Fabric is too large to fit through the clarinet without getting stuck. I had to cut them in order to make them fit.

These swabs are very similar to ones I've been using. They're a good size and shape for alto and tenor sax necks and mouthpieces, but I use bigger ones with two pull strings for the horn bodies. These are well made and absorbent and I expect this pack of 12 will last a long time.

I normally use silk cleaning cloths for my clarinet. These synthetic chamois seem to do the job as well. They are well made. The only downside is that they are a little thicker which should be a problem. The string doesn’t come all the way out of the clarinet but is within reach in the bell. Overall they will work in keeping my clarinet dry.

Easy to use and durable. They don’t rip apart.
