You have to pump the fluid from the top, rather than pressing down at the brush end. However, I did not use it for painting, so it may be ideal for that purpose. Not ideal for dispensing water or ironing solution onto quilt seams for pressing.

These are incredible!!! I have them in a drawer with all of our paint colors and they are perfect for easy touch ups! Just rinse the end when your done or they will dry hard

Please read the instructions and/or watch the video, I did neither and made a mess. Once I realized what I needed to do the correct way, it worked perfectly. Hopefully the paint will not dry out in these like it says, because it's a very handy tool when you want to touch up paint and don't want to lug the whole gallon.

I bought these paint pens a year ago and have used them throughout that year. The paint has been the same consistency throughout the year as when I first put the paint in. The pens are easy to use and put paint in. I have noticed sometimes I have to click a few times before paint comes out. The price is great for how long they have lasted me. I have several colors that look the same and I tried labeling them with a permanent marker. The marker doesn’t stay on so I would suggest labeling them with a sticker if you need to label them. The size is like that of a fat pen so it is much easier to store over a gallon of paint and a paint brush. My only issue with the pen is that one of my paints didn't come out the other day after a year. The paint inside the pen didn't dry up so since the pens and refillable I plan to just transfer that paint to a new pen. I’m not sure why it isn’t working but with only one out of five not working after a year I don’t think that is too bad. Plus the price of them is pretty good, so I don’t mind buying more. I use these to touchup my walls, ceiling, doors, and trim. I have used them to touchup edges after taking painters tape off. Sometimes the painters tape with pull off a little paint or the edge wasn’t as straight, with the brush on the touchup pen being so small it was easy to touchup small mistakes along edging. I have a black ceiling and white walls in one room so the edging mistakes were pretty noticeable but the touchup pen really made is easy.
