Well made compared to other safety glasses I've worn. Light weight. Comfortable. (Could use nose padding upgrade). Lots of coverage for physical protection both side/front. Quite a bit of tint, so not really the right kind of glasses if you are just wanting safety for in the garage, or for splash protection working with certain materials, but are not needing the shade / IR protection. These are listed as welding safety glasses. However, that is only partially accurate. It is my understanding, that for some welding applications these would be no where near enough at a shade rating of 5.0. However, it could be fair to say that 5.0 can be suitable in some lighter gas welding use cases.Would recommend being a little more specific & clarifying further on the applications that would be appropriate for these glasses. with their ratings, but they offer good protection physically and visually in other use cases. They feel well built enough for my needs. But the tint unfortunately isn't suitable for all use cases.Likes:- Decent protection from multiple angles.- Reasonable splash coverage.- Comfortable.- Light weight.Dislikes:- Too vague in the use of these as "welding" glasses. Could benefit from specifying which type of welding as not all welding would be safe with a shade rating of 5.0.

3 out of 5 Stars (3.4)⭐⭐⭐[TL;DR][QUALITY] (4/5)[VALUE] (4/5)[EASE OF USE] (3/5)[MET EXPECTATIONS] (1/5)[PACKAGING] (5/5)[REVIEW REMARKS]I should have researched a touch better. these are not suitable for welding according to the safety standards for welding eyewear. These glasses are lightweight, well made, and comfortable. However, after reading a couple of reviews suggestion that these glasses are not dark enough to weld with, I went searching for the safety standards for eyewear and welding.I am not a welder, but I would like to use my stick welder a touch more. I have a shield, but it is not the greatest, comfort wise. When I spotted these glasses, all I saw was 'welding' and I do not know the proper standards for welding eyewear. These, apparently are not enough. Darker lenses are suggested for welding, stick welding glasses should be darker between 10-14 shade level. These are 5, half the darkness required. Are these crap glasses? No. They are comfortable, fit tight, and do not fall off. Are they suited for welding? No, apparently not.I do wish that standards were followed better. These could be dangerous, especially to unsuspecting people that do not know better, like me.These are not suitable for welding, but are OK for other applications requiring eye shade cover.I cannot recommend this product, but I rated it fairly based on the quality and comfort, and did not focus on the elephant in the details. Not recommend. False claims for welding standards being met.In the event that experiences change or evolve, updates may be made to this review to address such developments.

I've been using the LANON Welding Safety Glasses with the IR Filter Shade 5.0 Lens for several weeks now, and they have quickly become an essential part of my welding gear.Firstly, the protection these glasses offer is exceptional. The IR Filter Shade 5.0 Lens effectively shields my eyes from harmful infrared and UV rays, ensuring I can work safely and comfortably. The ANSI Z87.1 certification gives me confidence that these glasses meet high safety standards. The anti-scratch and anti-impact features are a huge plus. The lenses have held up well against the typical wear and tear of a busy workshop, including minor drops and contact with abrasive materials. This durability means I don’t have to worry about replacing them frequently, which is both convenient and cost-effective.One of the standout features is the double-sided antifog coating. Whether I'm working in a hot environment or moving between different temperature zones, the lenses stay clear and fog-free. This consistency is crucial for maintaining visibility and ensuring my safety. The wrap-around design provides excellent coverage and protection from all angles, while the fit is comfortable and secure. The glasses are lightweight and don’t pinch or slip, even during long welding sessions. The ergonomic design ensures that they stay in place without causing any discomfort, which is particularly important when focusing on detailed work.Overall, the LANON Welding Safety Glasses offer superior protection, durability, and comfort. If you're in need of reliable and high-quality safety goggles for welding or other hazardous tasks, I highly recommend these. They provide peace of mind and allow you to focus on your work without worrying about eye safety.
