If you take care of a ball field get one of these! The build quality is decent for the price and it seems durable enough. The size is perfect to get into the pegs. This thing functions perfectly gets the dirt out way better than using knifes and spoons

The tool works as designed and for the price you can't really beat it. But the metal collar that covers the end of the handle doesn't stay put and it has a ton of flex if you have to really dig out a post. I can't imagine this is going to last all season but for the price it's fine.

I own a small baseball groundskeeping business and we dig out about 140 base sleeves each week at the fields we maintain.This is not a standard size anchor dig out tool. The width is significantly smaller than the other brands out there. The tool width is 1-3/16 and a standard base sleeve width is 1-9/16", so you end up having to do 3 to 4 times as many digs in each direction to get all the dirt spilling off the side as pull out. See the second picture of the tool in a standard sleeve.Until I bought this set, I thought all anchor dig out tools were the same size, but this one is not.The overall length is shorter too - which makes it more awkward to get the angle and leverage to dig out - and the handle is extra small. There's a metal flange t where the wood hand end meets the metal bar, and that came loose almost immediately on both the ones we got. The whole thing feels light and cheap, like someone looked at the other ones and said I can make it cheaper by making it smaller.

They are smaller than we were expecting, but they do work as expected. Didn’t pay attention to measurements and that’s on me.
