I wouldn't strap down any cargo or lumber with them but they are fine for light use. I bought them to use on my motorcycle to tie down a carry case etc. Work perfect for that. I had to shorten 2 so just nipped off what I didn't need, heated the end to prevent fraying, and voila.....

Super convenient and quick to setup, tighten down, or release. The ratchet/head holds the strap very securely. Only time will tell what the long-term durability is like but after my first few days with them I'm very happy!
