I have several of these rope branches in a large cage that houses my two budgies. They are well made and attach securely to the cage bars. The price on Amazon is considerably cheaper than at local pet stores. I use the rope branches mixed with natural wood branches to give my birds a variety of surfaces to perch on.

My bird was scared of this a little at first but after getting familiar with it he loves it. He prefers it to his wooden perch (perhaps its more comfortable).

I love the rope so far it's amazing, I was so sad when the first one arrived missing a piece, I really didn't want to have to deal with sending it back, shipping back prices, blah blah blah. I just didn't want it to be complicated and thank fully it didn't! I sent out a *complaint* stating that there was a piece missing, they sent me another one the day after! So, yes I 100% recommend this as well as it it super sturdy and I hope my bird will love it. (I'm getting it soon)

I purchased two of these (as add-on items) for my buddies cage. He seems to like it now, after taking a little time to get used to it.In terms of thickness, I'd say they are suitable for some of the smaller parrots (budgies, lovebirds, linnies, etc.).It seems pretty durable, and my budgie isn't really a chewer, so take that in to account when considering this perch. I did notice some hot glue leaked out from the cap ends where the rope attaches (which I was able to remove). The plastic bolts that hold the perch do slide on the cage bars, but only if you actually try to move it. I was able to bend the rope in to a curve that I liked, attached it to the cage and moved it up the bars to where I wanted it. It hasn't moved or bent out of shape at all.I'm not sure about this "banana scent" listed in the product description... I never noticed this prior to ordering, and the rope perches I received don't smell like anything (thankfully).I'd say my only complaint is that one perch had it's threads wound tighter than the other, making it a little more difficult to shape. I'm hoping with enough flexing to work it in, this shouldn't be a problem long term.
