Absolutely horrible and a waste of money. Does not stop a steady drip no matter how full you get it. You wouldn't even be able to use with a dish underneath to catch the drips. At the rate, it would likely be empty in a day.

Honestly, I had given up on water bottles for my guinea pigs because they usually leak. Make a mess, are hard to clean and are just the worst.to my utter delight this one does not leak at all!!! Easy to clean and my guinea pigs. Love it!But it’s crucial that you follow the instructions. Others have mentioned here, but it is actually written right on the bottle. The vacuum seal will make it, so it will not leak. I’ve been using it now for about two weeks and it’s perfect.It’s definitely a game changer and will change your life! Hahaha. I have tried so many different water bottles for my guinea pigs in the past and they ALL leak or end up breaking somehow. These have been a lifesaver and I will never have to buy another bottle again!

Initially, there was a small drip when I tipped the bottle but that is expected. I have had them up all day and not one drip (I ordered two and neither has leaked). I’d recommend this brand!

Does not leak. All other bottles I've tried have left large wet spots in cage. This one I only get a few drops when refilled. Will buy another.

I have tried several types over the past 3 years and this one is the best. Water bottles are going to leak, because they have to get water out for the animal to drink. However, if you use cold water, fill until it's full and tighten well it will work exceptionally well. I put a small fleece square under it because it's inevitable that they are going to make a mess, that's just what they do!Even a guinea pig sanctuary local to me only uses this type of water bottle.It's sometimes hard to see if it's low because it's not completely clear but in decent light you can see the level. That's really my only complaint. It's such a great bottle. I use a q-tip to clean the nozzle and a paper towel with a butter knife to wipe the bottle. Soaking may help too but I don't have time for that.

This bottle absolutely does not leak! I bought the fancy glass one and would leak half a bottle a day. This one doesn’t leak at all! Great product!

This is my 3rd Lixit wide mouth water bottle. My other two were smaller than this one and had zero problems with dripping/leaking. This bottle is larger, I think for guinea pigs though I purchased for my hamster. I had to try several times to properly fill and seal this bottle so that it didn't have a rapid dripping happening. If this hadn't been my 3rd bottle I probably would have been frustrated and given up. These bottles will drip if a vacuum isn't properly created. I really had to fill this thing ALL THE WAY, to where the surface tension of the water hadn't quite broken and was a little rounded at the top of the bottle, and I had to tilt it so that there were no air bubbles anywhere in the bottle. Once that was done, no more dripping, and the water only flowed when the bottle was being used.So, these wide mouth bottles are still my favorite. They're super easy to clean and my hamster is able to easily and appropriately drink enough water. Some water bottles are just too hard for her to drink from. BTW, this is my 3rd because I have 3 cages. These bottles last a long time!
