it seemed to be able to adapt to what I need, the bottle held a good amount of water, has a level indicator turtle and adjustable hook (bend what you need). The deal breaker is that it leaks like a bad faucet after one change out. I wish I could return it out of principle at this point. Do not buy this trash - it seems like it isn't like the others in the local stores - 2 stainless steel balls and o-rings to seal and control the leaks. It seems like it's a single bearing, no additional seal design. Now I only use it as a spot quencher when Hammy is in his exercise arena and comes up to me for a water break, I manually feed him with it and when done I prop it back upside down.

After filling up the bottle and getting everything put together it started dripping a continuous stream as soon as up turned the bottle upright. This is marketed as a suitable choice for use with glass tanks which is inaccurate, it's incredibly difficult to adjust to the right position and you can't put the lid back on the tank which is a huge risk for my mice as they have zero brain cells and will jump out of there's no lid. So this item is completely unusable across the board. Within thirty minutes the bottle was more than half empty from how much it leaked during my test and I'm glad I didn't put it in the tank right away because my mice wouldn't have enjoyed having soaking wet bedding.

The bottle is absolutely adorable. There is even a little floating water level indicator inside of it. The metal bracket which can be placed on a wooden cage frame with a screw is exactly what I was looking for. But unfortunately the water bottle itself leaks. There is a slow drip from where the ball bearing rests inside of the tube. In other words it oes not completely stop the flow of water. If it were not for the water leak this item would be perfect. Sadly I am forced to return the item.

I bought this bottle for my daughter's Guinea Pig about 6 months ago and it is fabulous! It doesn't leak at all! However, when putting the bottle in the cage, be sure to tap the drinking ball a couple of times to make sure water will come out. It is so good at not leaking that it may not let water come out. We have had other bottles that leak so I was excited that this one doesn't. Just clean it regularly and it will not leak. It's a great bottle!

We use it for our squirrel and it is a big improvement over our old one that just had the wrap around wire style hanger. This one hold up much better and it easier to get in and out and adjust.
