The guy who installed my strip LEDs before I owned my house had used a standard dimmer switch for the LED MLV supply, which caused the LEDs to often be overdriven and die, and the power supply to occasionally trip its internal breaker. This switch fixed everything, as it's rated to be used with MLV power supplies. I had to buy a whole new set of LED strips as well.It's a bit pricey, but if you need it, you need it.

This item is described as having a locator light, so you can find the switch in the dark. The light is behind the paddle switch and is supposed to illuminate the switch with a soft glow. However, this unit has a paddle switch that is totally opaque. No light shines through it. You can see a small amount of light in the thin spaces, left and right, between the paddle switch and the surrounding bezel (photo). However, it is not sufficient light to enable someone to find the switch. You can barely see this light if your face is lined up directly in front of the switch. Otherwise, forget it. Amazon kindly replaced the item, but the replacement has the same problem. Both packages say they were assembled in St. Kitts. We have many working Lutron dimmers with functioning locator lights (photo).

My house has several rooms lit by MR-16s controlled by Lutron Maestro MALV-600 dimmers. As the old incandescent MR-16s have burned out, I have been replacing them with Soraa high-CRI LEDs. These worked OK with my old dimmers - I got occasional flicker but they were very usable. I recently switched to Green Creative LED MR16s since their high-CRI bulbs were about 1/2 the price of Soraa. Unfortunately they did not work well with the Maestro dimmers - the lamps would shut off completely when the dimmer was turned up to maximum brightness. I found a document on Green Creative's web site which lists compatibilty between different dimmers, fixtures/transformers, and their bulbs. The Lutron Diva was the only dimmer that was compatible with all their bulbs and tested fixtures/transformers. Due to the lower cost of the GC bulbs, it made sense to replace the dimmer. The Diva works great for me with the GC bulbs.

I paired this with an Evergreen Technologies ETD1260 - Strip Lighting Power Supply which requires a magnetic low-voltage dimmer such as this one. Works perfectly - dimming is very smooth through the whole range, with no flicker. Nice little bonus I didn't see mentioned is a subtle orange back-light for finding it in the dark. Very satisfied. Keep in mind this model uses wire leads instead of terminal posts, but it comes with wire nuts.
