Fit the old broken mount without modification (MacGregor 26s). Wires cut and ends crimped on. A little confusing where those shiny stainless brackets went, but figured it out eventually. Now just need a 12v battery to hookup.

Great product for the price. Easy installation matching the original mounting holes on my sailboat. There was a problem with the led bulb, but had amazing after sales service response to make it right.

Getting ready for the sailing season and noted that my masthead was out. I don't normally sail at night and even less often under power but not going to go through the season without it. Unfortunately, not enough time to unstep the mast and fix it so I purchased this as a temporary solution. It's very light so I affixed it to the mast using velcro an easy six feet up (my sailboat is less than 39'). Ran a new wire pair to the light connecting it to the masthead light switch. Used some higher end silver duct tape to keep the wire unobtrusive and out of the way. Worked like a charm. I was already planning to unstep the mast in the fall and replace some (or all) of the rigging and will install an LED bulb and possibly replace the socket then.Regarding the 225, it might be but not sure. The back is 180 degrees but the bulbs protrude out enough where the viewing angle is beyond 180 and possibly up to 225.
