Use for a NES on a 4k tv ...look good for a 35 old game on a new tv

Not a bad temporary solution until I save for a retrotink 5x or 4k. My new TV had no option to switch to 4:3 so I wanted something quick to get to gaming. Haven't noticed any input lag on platformers like Donkey Kong 2.

I thought this would make the video look like garbage and have half a second of input lag and mainly bought it as a stop gap until i could afford a retro tink. Instead it ended up being a legitimate way for me to enjoy older games.The image looks very authentic to if you used AV cables on an SD TV or a high quality AV filter on an emulator. The colors are slightly off but that can be fixed by changing the settings on your TV. The screenshots don't really convey that vintage feeling well, but it looks really nice in personThe input lag, while not perfect is way better than I could ever expect. It's not instant, but it's definitely playable.I also appreciated the aspect ratio switchMy only real problem is that the wires are very cheap. They feel like they would break if I pulled them too hard

This is my third time purchasing a modern picture adapter to get my old SNES’s picture & sound onto a modern TV & it works after initially being like the first two that I’d bought & that was just a blue screen. I picked up a few tips trying to get this working & they’ve all worked so I’ll list them & it’s just a list if you try anything on your own system that I list out it’s on your head!1: Most TV HDMi sockets have a USB plug next to them now don’t plug any converters power plug via USB into your telly it needs it’s own completely separate power source, preferably a spare USB slot on a plug it will not be powered by the TV!2: If you’re only getting a blue screen check that all of your cables are securely plugged in & switch your console off & on rapidly some 20 - 30 times, off on, off on, off on, off on & for me after so many times my screen went black with the words ‘Nintendo Presents’ on it & it was working, now if this works something is amiss elsewhere.3: I took some rubbing alcohol & a cotton wool bud & I cleaned the strips inside the bottom of the games using the dry side of the bud to then help it dry off & boy were those cotton wool buds rotten after use! I then used an old toothbrush dipped into rubbing alcohol & I shook it & wiped it down on a cleaning cloth so’s that it weren’t dripping & I scrubbed the unplugged consoles inner card reader by just opening the games insert slot (you can see the mentioned card reader) & now there’s no off & on, off & on for me no more as it just works perfectly & immediately now even two games that I thought must have been broken worked so I’ve got my SNES up & running smoothly now with all new wiring.NOW BEWARE: You may be massively disappointed with your trip down nostalgia lane as the picture & sound quality are fine but the graphics aren’t, it’s 16 BIT remember! But if you’ve got the right games as in your old favourites it’s absolutely brilliant!

I love this composite to digital video converter!Installation is a snap - video and left/right audio RCA cables in, HDMI (including audio stream) out. Picture quality is great (your composite source video quality will always stink compared to modern standards) and the conversion from 480p (VCR) to 1080p (HDTV) looked exactly as expected.Build quality is about what you'd expect from an inexpensive device like this. Plastics are cheap(ish) and the PVC-coated cables are basic quality, but it doesn't feel like it will fall apart any time soon, either. Just basic quality overall.The real star of the show for this device is the two buttons that allow you to toggle between 720p/1080p (to support an earlier gen TV, or generally increase output compatibility) and an aspect ratio toggle between 4:3 and 16:9. Switching any mode is instant and I absolutely LOVE being able to watch old school video in the correct 4:3 aspect ratio. Watching 4:3 content in stretched mode is sacrilegious and simply wrong. This box fixes it instantly!Highly recommended for the aspect ratio switching capability alone!

I got this to connect my original NES from the late 80's to a 1080p monitor through an AV Receiver. Connected the NES to this adapter and then the HDMI from the adapter to the AV receiver, and finally HDMI from AV receiver to monitor. It works! And produces a good image. I did notice a slight wavy pattern when there is a solid colour showing but it is much harder to see the wavy pattern when the actual games are showing. Since it is not noticeable when playing games, it doesn't bother me.I really like that you can switch between 4:3 and 16:9 aspect ratio. This allows me to keep my NES games at 4:3, the way they were meant to be played, even though my monitor is 16:9. I leave the 1080p/720p option at 1080p as that is the native resolution for the monitor I've got connected. I didn't notice any introduction of lag or anything weird so I'm happy with that. It gets power over micro USB and not USB-C which kind of bites but honestly doesn't affect the functionality of the unit. Sound is good, can't complain there. Overall a good unit and would get again if I had more retro consoles.

先に買ったコンポジット・S-Video→HDMI変換アダプターが不良品だったのでこちらを購入しました。S-Video入力がないので最初は躊躇したのですがそれほど出番は無さそうに思えたので割り切りました。同価格帯でHDMIケーブル一体型のものもあったのでそちらと迷ったのですが、HDMIケーブルは余ってるしアスペクト比切替スイッチがHDMI端子側にあったので使いづらそうに思えたのでこちらにしたのですが、正解でした。気になっていた表示遅延や誤動作等もなく、快適に使用できています。買ってよかったです。
