Only thing with Melissa and Doug is their tray never comes with a lid, and makes it hard for storage and to keep the dust out.

2.5 year old loves it. Kid can't fully use the screw driver but good practice. However, the wood is cheap and feels rough and can splinter easily.

Les têtes des vis se décollent si on les force un peu trop. Nous avons dû en recoller quelques-unes. Mais en gros, c'est un jeu avec lequel l'enfant aime beaucoup jouer. Lui et son grand-père font de très belles constructions et nous en avons acheté 4 ensembles pour pouvoir faire de plus grands projets.

He’s very interested in puzzle-like things so this was a hit. Has provided prolonged play sessions and hours of fun since its purchase. Definitely giftable. There is a lot of pieces, as well! Two or three toddlers can play with one set. Wish there was a lid to the box, though. Also, watch out if you have dogs, ours keep going for them and the screws are not as durable as the wooden planks.

Got this for our 5yo autistic spectrum ADHD son who loves Legos and anything involving manipulation of parts of a whole or whatever. He enjoys figuring this out. It requires more than just sticking Legos together. It involves twisting and trial/error, critical mechanical thinking. I also like that it's wood, not plastic. I also appreciate that this is a "genuine" M&D brand product, you can be relatively reassured for material safety and quality. I've had no issues. I do with the wood was more "finished" or glazed to aid in cleaning but other than that it's fine and seems like it'll hold up for his younger sisters. It's also fun to watch two or more of them fiddle with all the bits, snatching the finished pieces from brother, tantrums over nonsense. But yes, if your kid loves putting stuff together or likes identifiable categories of numerical stuff then s/he will probably find some use out of this at least.

Bought for my three year old nephew! Took him a few minutes to figure it out, and required a little bit of instruction, but he loves it now! One of his favourite toys. Good quality too!

We love this set, and my children love it even more. It is however not compatible with the Wonderworld Work Bench 'N Boxby Wonderworld. So if you, like me, have the Wonderworld Work Bench 'N Box and want to add more bolts and pieces to it, this one won't work, so you're better off buying the Melissa & Doug tool box as well.Other than that this set is very good and my children are playing with a car they just built with it, as I type these lines.
