This was my first time installing something like this. It was super easy to install however just make sure you lube everything it tells you to lube prior to piecing it all together. Also remember **it requires Gen 2 throttle cables** do not forget otherwise you can't install it !!!!

Great upgrade from a 300 Classic. I needed to replace cables in my old one and figured I’d swap out for a new box entirely. This one is a bit longer than the 300 so I had to do a little cutting inside where the box mounts but made it work. It’s super smooth and solved many issues my 300 had, including no neutral throttle, not reverse throttle, and gen 1 shift cables. Worth the price and the work.

Works great as a replacement for Quicksilver 3000 throttle wired colors all match up. I had issues at first because I made the assumption it was shipped on neutral. Easiest set up (for my application) was simply to have both the throttle and motor in neutral. As for the "it burned up my trim" comment. ... Sorry but you clearly wired the handle wrong. My only complaint is I forgot to put the bezel into the handle and so I tried to remove the button and the button broke. The old 3000 button never broke when I took it out. So BE SURE you are done before you insert that throttle only button. Otherwise I am pleased with this new throttle. Also get gen II cables as everyone has said everywhere they are a different connect on the throttle remote end than the old 3000 model.
