Its super small and compact. It's backup battery charges quickly and there is litterally no signal hum even with gain cranked to full.Definitely worth the $$$

I like this mic preamp because it has its own rechargeable battery. I've only used it for speaking, but it adds enough adjustable gain to allow the speaker to use the microphone without worrying about how close they have to be to the mic. I used it at about 50% gain for a little over an hour. I'm confident it would have lasted longer.

This little box solved a vexing problem for me. When running my mic through a vocal processor to my PA, the output signal had no heat to it, in fact I had to have the channel turned all the way up to 100%, creating unacceptable hiss.As soon as I ran the output through this little preamp, I had so much signal that I had to turn the channel down to 25%.Problem solved.

Good simple unit, works decently for the price, but you will need an additional adapter or non-standard XLR cable for output connection.

Using this to amplify the output of a wireless mic into a wireless monitor system for language translation. Audio range is broad and voice reproduction is great. This is working great for us and the dual format connectors will handle any future changes we may need to make.Overall very pleased with this purchase
