The blade on this saw does a remarkable job of pruning branches on my trees. I thought it was odd to use a straight blade on a pruning saw, but it actually works quite well.What I don't like it the handle. It is el-cheapo, indeed. I cannot believe this is going to hold up to a lot of use, so there is no way this is a saw for professional business use. The blade has to be positioned so it WILL enter into the handle for storage - it doesn't just fall into place. (see my attached pic)IMO they are not selling this for a lot of money, so if you want an inexpensive saw for occasional use around the house - then this will do the job.

Metal blade (obviously) with plastic handle. The teeth on the blade are quite aggressive with more material removal on the pull stroke compared to the push stroke. A strong arm/hand will be needed to cut effectively and/or for extended cutting times. The cutting surface of the blade is straight (as opposed slightly curved like some similar saws). The blade locks in place both for cutting and when folded, so one needs to depress the release button when opening or closing. I've only used this about 4 times so I'm unable to judge the endurance of the saw - both sharpness and durability of the handle
